Xbone below Vita in Europe. Actually, outside of NA, it's doing worse than Vita, WiiU and... PSP. I guess all three manufacturers have a "doomed" console now, it's gonna be fun comparing all three.

PS4 is doing quite well despite the general decline, by gobbling up sales from other consoles. It's obviously supply-constrained and that's gonna be the case until mid-March at least apparently. We won't know where it will settle until it's released in Japan and it's widely available.

Nintendo need to release a new handheld by the end of 2015, 3DS is doing fine now but it's declining quite quickly.

Both Killzone and InFamous will surpass easily it's predecessors. I'm not saying the franchises grew, but launch titles usually sells a lot. Resistance: Fall of Man is way above it's 2 sucessors.


This. I have bought over half of the PS4 launch titles. A game like Killzone was purchase for me at launch be it offered something new and to be honest no a lot of other choices would not buy that if it were competing with a full slate of games.



End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

Its pretty close to being 6:1,  i remember people mocking predictions of 3:1 being possible, this is truley a desperate situation.

I agree, the rise of mobile was innevitable after the first iPhone. The only thing in common is that both aimed the same casual crowd and looks like mobile won.

Honestly, last year I would of said this guy was crazy. But seeing the PS4 somehow destroy all predictions almost anyone places on it, if it does hit 20 mil (not saying it will), I won't even be surpised.

I know beating out a lot of people's expections, however I looked up the PS2's numbers for a reference and it didn't 10 million until sometime in  march 2002. So based on that i really think it will hit 20 million by the end of 2014.

Yes...I don't see why not. PS4 has a bigger userbase than any console before it at the same point in time, combined with amazing 3rd party sales (which Wii didn't have). Sony winning over Nintendo can only be a good thing for the industry as a whole, since Nintendo were practically the only ones that profited from Wii (and the random 3rd party here and there) while Sony consoles usually sell 3rd party software really well.
