I guess none of the previous consoles (X360, PS3 and Wii) have ever had a 20k week and now it may happen to both WiiU and XOne. This doesn't sound good for the videogaming industry as a whole.

Wouldn't that do the exact opposite? If I knew a successor was coming soon I'd skip the Wii U entirely, especially if the successor is backwards compatible. I don't expect them to announce the Wii U's successor until E3 2015, with a release in either Holiday 2015 or Holiday 2016.

I know that I'm not quoting the correct post, but just to clarify, I wasn't attacking your opinion earlier, I simply disagreed with the arguments that you brought up to back up your opinion.

PS4: 120M

XB1: 70M

WiiU: 14M

3DS: 60M

I just hope Wii U, XBOne and PSV better from now on and no 8th gen home or portable console will fall again under 30k/week for the next five years, this gen's overall success is of the essence to show that there is still a maybe smaller, but still healthy market for dedicated game development, and not just for totally casual mobile gaming.

Wiiu will this year. Xbox one will next year a little and the ps4 is going to be a while.
