I think people HAVE admit that, hence the reason sales of the Xbox One are at a STANDSTILL. This is DEFINETELY not Playstation...

That device is a big problem! Get rid of it.
At this point even a price cut to $400 won't be enough to compete against the ps4. The X1 needs a price cut to $349 without the kinect.
I thought this site was a joke and no one took anything they said seriously? Oh they're saying negative X1 stuff? Suddenly credible.

the kinect defense is strange. Its getting whopped now so how is the kinect an advantage? it isnt. Cut the price and still have kinect? they will make a lose.
The article is great and hits on points that make sense. BUT im going to give MS the benefit of the doubt, they know what they are doing. There is a reason the Kinect is not actually part of the console proper (built in), i believe it originally was going to be. And i think there is a reason you havent seen much support for Kinect in terms of games. They are playing it safe, testing to see if the Kinect will move consoles. It kinda hasnt but its all good, because they can always stop bundling it, or they can offer a Kinect less SKU. They could patch the OS later to have it work without it, this isnt Ninty where they would seem ot have a problem with it.
Its all good really.
I will never understand why MS shoe-horned the Kinect into every Xbox One. The solution is so simple: Sell a kinect-less Xbox One and sell will most likely pick up,
There is very little demand for Kinect, both from consumers and developers.
Microsoft is doing the same mistake the ps3 and wiiU made. They're already 2m behind the ps4, don't be dumb like nintendo and release a kinect less, 100$ less X1. And it might have a change of losing this generation by only 20% market share.
I agree with most of the article but I lost count of how many times he said consumers are forced to buy kinect. That just makes me laugh.
This article got it right. MS loves to shake things up and for practicly no reason at all. I don't understand some of the things they do and this is across all products/software. They move/remove buttons with no purpose at all. For instance getting rid of start menu. Obviously no one was going to like that and now they're having to go back and reintroudce it into windows 8.1. All that time could have been saved if they just would have stuck with what worked.
This is a crushing blow against Microsoft and the Kenict. It will only go further down from here on I perdict. I can't see a long future for Xbox.
Plus I believe the new CEO of Microsoft will turn back Microsoft into a software-only company again and cancel or sell all hardware devices.
Remember you read it here first.
I like Kinect. I didn't buy this machine for my family. I bought it for me. My girlfriend enjoys it too even tho she's not as familiar with how to use it. If she gets frustrated she just grabs the controller.
