Looks like IGN doesn't like The Order.
I still don't get all the complaints about game play and they really didn't show any? It is like some people are just looking for something to nit pick or complain about. Also I agree with Kowen on the game play(the little we did see) looks a lot like Gears which is not a bad thing at all seeing as Gears(part 1 anyway) was one of if not my favorite game on 360.
Still WAY too early for all the silly complaints I see in this thread. At least wait until you actually see more than like 20secs of game play to make a judgement...geez. Lastly for that to be in game it looks very nice indeed.
The absence of evidence is NOT the evidence of absence...

Is this the mind blowing stuff that was hyped up by guys like thuway?
Effects still look amazing, textures pretty meh tbh. The core gameplay looks like Gears with added QTE's, so it could be something special.
This is easily the best looking game so far this gen.
It seems to take a safe route when it comes to gameplay, but if it truly is like Gears of War and Uncharted, I'm not going to complain. I love that type of gameplay.
But seriously, visually unmatched so far on console. It takes the cinematic approach to visuals that Ryse went for, but pushes it even further, in a more convincing way.
As for the comment about the textures...

Who cares what other people are thinking and getting excited over as long as they don't troll? And yes I want to know that I am actually getting graphics and res enhancements with a "NEW GENERATION OF CONSOLES". Besides there is hardly anything to judge gameplay on right now. 3 minutes is not enough. But I will say the gunplay and "1" QTE they showed looks awesome to me so far, mostly because I love TPS. |
Oh, of course people can be excited about things. I just find it curious how to most people Nextgen seems to be mainly about better graphics. It's a observation that's all. Personally, I will get excited when they deliver improved AI, deeper and more interactive environments. More powerful consoles doesn't mean much to me if they can't deliver on those aspects. I want to play better games, not simply prettier games.
a cool interview by Sassler. he seems to love it.

Completely understand where you are coming from. Though it's not as if they can't add deeper and more interactive environments it's just that that is not what they want to do. And we don't know the extent of what the AI is capable of from this. Though I agree AI needs to improve drastically in all games. I think Naughty Dog are gonna be the ones who start to really improve enemy AI. Since they definitely tried in the last of us, but were still held back quite a bit by the ps3 memory limitations. And not to mention we haven't even seen the soft body physics in the game yet which I'm really excited about seeing. Hopefully E3 has a demo showing the soft body physics off.
