I would say a tie is still possible.
I forgot to add the "tie" option. Dumb me. 
Once the PS4 launches in Japan the gap will be widened. That will further increase the PS4's sales towards passing the Wii U. They are both corresponding situations. Japan will help the PS4 get over the Wii U all at once.
