Back stories are nice and all but I want a real sequel. The story ended quite abruptly and there is still so much to tell. Probably even enough for a second sequel. The back stories could fit in those nicely though.

I wouldn't mind developing this into a franchise. Ellie in here late teens would be a nice thing. It didn't hurt Uncharted's narrative to span across multiple games. There is nothing forced about it since ND are obviously capable and they wouldn't rush out anything bad.

Uncharted took place in a much broader universe, and was able to have sequels because there was always room to top the last. UC1 was great and all, but even in 2007, it had plenty of room for improvement. While agree there are plenty more stories that could be told with TLoU, ND would have to find a way to exceed the first, and to anyone who has played it through and through, they know that would be quite the task... I guess at the end of the day though, if anyone could do it, it would be Naughty Dog.

Don't care if they top it or not. I just want it to continue. If they don't want they can give it to Telltale^^

A lot of people would disagree with you on that....

While I certainly would like a sequel I believe that having different main characters is a must and would not even have Joel or Ellie in the game.

This is the Game of Thrones

Where you either win

or you DIE

Telltale? Ok, now you're just talking about ruining the series all together lol

0331 Happiness is a belt-fed weapon

Or they can just do another game in the same setting with another storyline.

I don't see why not.

Exactly.  I mean Uncharted 3 managed to get roughly the same scores and praise as 2.  That was quite an acomplishment.  I'm sure it would be amazing, but idk if there is room for a full game...

I think this is game tells a great story, and I don't think it ended abruptly. The way it ended is why it had such an impact. Spoilers obviously. I like how it justs ends with Joel lying to Ellie. She knows he's lying, and he knows that she knows, but they decide to both accept it so they can continue with their lives. I don't see how that's abrupt. I trust if ND went this path with the next game, it would be good, but I also feel like it would be a bit forced.

Yes the ending is great and perfect, sadly Joel and Ellie are not the only people in this world. The impact they had on the rest of the world is huge and unsolved.

Joel's story might be finished but not Ellie's. She's still very much the most wanted person on earth and the Fireflies must be furious. The only thing that ending ended was Joel's struggle. Everything else is unsolved.

Openworld and more zombiesque.

I don't know, Naughty Dogs managed to create two extremely compelling IP's during the PS3 gen, I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt on whatever they want to do next.

I don't get why anyone would be against getting more of a good thing. I mean, if The Next to Last of Us came out and it sucks, does it make The Last of Us any less of a good game than you thought it was? No. Sure it might bring the franchise as a whole down a peg or two, but isn't that better than no more Last of Us?

Like Bioshock. Was Bioshock 2 anywhere near as good as Bioshock? Imho, no. But was it still a good game? Yes. Same could go for Last of Us.

Not to mention it's not like they couldn't make some improvements. Who wouldn't want to see a sequel that is more open world minded with a bigger emphasis on survival? LoU holds your hand the whole way though. How about a Fallout/DayZ/State of Decay type Last of Us game? Yes please.
