XB1 is still in a position many times stronger than WiiU, and now you think that XB1 will fail and WiiU will somehow benefit..

Try the other way around, WiiU will fail.

Honestly I can't answer that, except than saying NO. It has nothing to do with Wii u which it was doing bad even before XB1 launched. In the hypothetical case of XB1 failing, the support will go with PS4.

True, not EVERYone will go out and buy a PS4, but the vast majority will. Most people gaming on Xbox don't play whats available on WiiU, at least not what currently there. That could change, but not for several years at least. CoD/ BF/ Halo/ Gears players won't exactly be down to suddenly switch to Mario, now would they?.. Plus, that audience wants genuinely powerful next gen hardware, which can only be found with PS4 at the moment.

I kind of feel like if you want a Wii U you want a Wii U...

But if you wanted an X1, but the console failed, you'd be pretty much just as happy with a PS4.....but you might not be just as happy with a Wii U since it's such a different experience.
