With the news of NPD (which was abysmal for everything but PS4 lets admit) it seems the sites tracking has given a false sense of hope with the WiiU's sales performance this year.

WiiU is down YOY 8k  (2013: 57k, 2014: 49k). The one shining light here is that Jan 2013 was a 5 week month that year, so it averaged at 11.4k a week, this year it's 12.2k a week, so normalised it would have been 45k last year, 49k this year.

Japan: Down 38k YOY (mediacreate)
US: Down 8k YOY
Europe: ? Isn't going to be much different, likely down given US but it's selling so little there the sheet amount of units won't be much.

We have weekly WiiU sales at 48k?!

Japan is at 8k, US is at 12k a week, Europe probably at 7k or less, rest of the world 10% so 3k ...

Already down to 30k weekly?

That doesn't discuss the matter at hand, the OP figures are wrong, and you can't have a decent dicussion there anyway without people throwing insults.

They don´t seem wrong when compared with the official charts.

26k in NA prooves my point .. it's doing 12k a week not 25k.

NPD has just proven that those charts are wrong.

NPD I just looked into NPD and its basically surveyed based site. So those numbers are predictions not sales. Why would VGchartz be off by twice as much

Oh my word. No it isn't ... NPD has been around for years and is what the industry uses.

Is this what it has come to, after decades, because WiiU isn't doing well people are trying to discredit NPD now? Embarrasing.

And VGC is off by twice as much because it uses very limited data and is estimates.

So why do we come here to this forum if their numbers are so off? Sounds like this site huge creditablity issues if thats the case. But here we are again with the Doom status on Nintendo that I read constantly

Because they're free estimates, and a good guide. Plus all the sales tools and the community ....


I've put only facts in the OP as per usual, you can decide if that's doom or not, not me. This is a site to talka bout sales figures and I'm doing just that.
