Topic...

So, I'm playing the sh!t out of Diablo III. Have been for months now. I can honestly tell you that nothing grinds my gears more than a fork in the road lol. I'm traversing a huge dungeon and all of a sudden the road splits. Left or right, hmm...? The worst part of it all is that I have a mild case of OCD and have to clear an entire map before moving to the next one. So nothing drives me more mad than taking the part of the fork that leads to the end of the dungeon. Now I have to run all the way back to the fork with no enemies to kill because I've already taken care of them. IMO, there's nothing in games more annoying than this. What about you guys? What annoys you most in games?

No spin attack/jump in Super Mario 3D Land when the last few Mario games I played before it had them (Galaxy 1 and NSMB Wii.) I stupidly shake the 3DS when I miss time my jumps in the game.

Oh yeah, no in game picture to MiiVerse post for Pokemon X and Y is annoying as well.

This was horrible in Twilight Princess for the GC at least. Everytime you boot up and continue your game file, the game seemed to forgot you picked a 10, 20, or 50 rupee before.

Bosses that heal themselves. Especially bosses with ridiculously high HP that heal themselves.

yes!  that's when i about had it and became vocal of the absurdity.  I thought Nintendo would wise up afterward but instead it kept on with skyward.  The original Legend of Zelda had it right... everything is self-explanatory!

All shooters ever: Unrealistic clip management.

It bothers me way more than it should.

Platforming in FPS games. I hate that so much. You can't see well enough to platform when you can't see your own damn feet, you bastards! Understand that!

I'm playing Crysis 3 now, which seems to be a clinic in annoying design choices. For instance:

- Vehicle sections where you're the gunner and the driver is taking an erratic path. You can't aim worth a cat's rectum and when you try to lead a target the driver swerves. Not fun.

- FPS games where the shooting sucks. Seriously, what is with that. I'm barely using my guns because mid-range combat is worthless compared to close quarters.

- Games where the enemy AI always come to "investigate" a dead body, allowing you to rinse and repeat with your own personal kill-zone. There was one part where I had about 15 enemies piled up on the stairs. I would just wait at the top for the next AI to go "man down!" and walk over.

- Long areas of nothing but walking around. I don't get it. Just trying to show off the beautiful scenery? Padding the game's length? Yeah, okay, but it's kind of boring.

- Super predictable patterns. "Okay, I've killed all the enemies on the map, so I bet if I want in this direction ... ah, yes, there are the reinforcements from out of nowhere, just as expected."
