vgc has it at 3.17mil (us) with digital sales should definitely be 3.25mil, so its on tracked, its just undertracked (here) in Europe+Rest of the World by a big margin still!

Congrats to Sony on a hell of a month! So that insider (Thurway?) a few weeks ago was right when he said Sony had a good month and MS had a bad month.

Also, I am looking at last months NPD thread and there are quite a few posters missing in tonight's thread..hmmmm :)

Apparently, sony wasn't including handhelds in their Ps3+Ps4 > all other systems statement. It is pure speculation, but it would make a lot more sense.



Predictions for LT console sales:

PS4: 120M

XB1: 70M

WiiU: 14M

3DS: 60M

Vita: 13M

There is a huge decline, but I wouldn't say the industry is doomed (handheld maybe) but more that MS and Nintendo haven't been able to provide gamers with what they want.

Also regarding the Wii it should be noted that it had freakishly large sales in its first couple years but then dropped way earlier than the 360 or PS3, so a console doesn't need to outsell the Wii now to have a chance at beating its lifetime numbers.

It will be interesting to see how things go.  The Wii had some of the most ridiculous Holiday numbers over the 1st few years ever.  December 2009 alone saw 7.4 million console sales.  It's going to be hard for Sony to sell that level of consoles during a holiday season, expecially if they can't figure out how to get their supply going.  The Wii fell off fast but by the end of 2011 it was already at 93 million consoles.  It was already pretty much at saturation anyways.

Yea it would be tough to include the 3DS number in there and still have PS4 + PS3 outsell everything else.  It's not like the PS3 is doing that well in America.
