| DialgaMarine said: I'm 99% sure the Wii-U had a horrible launch. Didn't it only sell ~500K units WW in it's first 7 days? The Wii did far better than that. Plus the Wii-U lost any momentum it had within a few weeks of launch when people who bought it realized that the system had nothing but shoddy 7th gen ports, weak hardware, and very few exclusives that were pretty underpar. Not to mention the Wii-U has gotten pretty much none of the third party support Nintendo promised. The Wii-U is a terrible example for already declaring this gen a flop because neither the PS4 nor XBone have dropped the ball like Nintendo did. The Wii-U is victim of Nintendo's failure. The PS4 will only get stronger within the next few years, just as previous PS consoles have. Sony has just done so much right with the console so far, and very few shortcomings it has are guarenteed to be fixed in the near future. Let's wait and compare PS4's first year on the market to the Wii-U's, and then complain about this gen failing. |
You totally skipped over my 3DS example. Are you acknowledging that I'm right with that? Because you still can't base how consoles will play out from their releases.
Also, Wii U had a good launch. I think 600k, which is not bad for Nintendo. When compared to Sony/MS it looks small. But that wasn't my point. And who in the world said this generation was a flop? I know I didn't.
Edit: Since you edited... You kind of went off track with this, but brought it back around. Last generation was the longest yet, this generation is already showing signs of fatigue (Handhelds, Wii U, and XBO's performance in Europe.), it shouldn't last as long as generation 7. That would really stretch it out.
