The only DK rep I want in Smash is King K Rool. I like having a villain and a good guy from the same franchise in my fighting games. But I doubt he will make the cut for legal reasons. I heard that the Kremlins are owned by Rare cause they were made for a other game before they were bought by Nintendo. This would be the reason why we did'nt see K Rool or the Kremlins in DK for years despite they being THE bad guys of the franchises. But I could be wrong and it could be possible.

Having DK, Diddy and K Rool would be perfect. But I expect only Diddy to come back sadly.


The Kremlins are NOT owned by Rare. Like, not in the slightest. There are no legal issues whatsoever. Retro studios confirmed this was the case, and said that not using the Kremlins for Returns and Tropical Freeze was their own design choice.

well there are 39 characters in brawl (40 if you want to count mewtwo since many fans anticipate his return). 22 are returning (24 if the unconfirmed Sheik/Zero Suit count). That leaves 15 left,  i can see that sakarai cuts about half of those.

Returning Veterans: Yoshi + Jigglypuff + Metaknight + Diddy Kong + Ganondorf + *Mewtwo + Falco + C. Falcon + Ness + Ice Climbers + Mr G+W

Not Returning: Ike + Snake + Squirtle + Ivysaur + Charizard + Wolf + R.O.B +  Lucas

 

 

Veterans = 35 characters 

Newcomers= 9 (*4 confirmed) 

Total 44 characters with some characters doing alt skin!

I can see Dixie Kong+Little Mac+Chrom+Paletina in the game! 


You forgot Wario. Considering Ashley is an assist trophy, it wouldn't make sense to not have Wario in.

I hadn't even thought of a Diddy/Dixie tag team. That's a really cool idea! And it's a good way to give Dixie some attention without bloating the roster.

in ssbb she was suppose to be paired with diddy kong. Anyway ssbb had 35 characters but t really had 39 (counting the character swaps ex sheik/charizard/zero suit).

What im trying to say is that characters even if they are in one character slot doesn't mean it doesn't waste cuz it still does count. Like if pokemon trainer doesn't make it, he can be replaced by 3 characters instead of one (which im hoping for))

I want to say that the three DKs will be standalone fighters, but the Diddy/Dixie combo is tantalizing. I don't see it working out, though, unless they have significantly different movesets.

Not sure really, though I personally think that 2 Kongs are enough for Smash. Though a tag-team of Diddy & Dixie seems pretty awesome, I can see them going that route.

Well your right in that regard (being similar) but i definitely can see them have their differences like how mario/luigi have.

Special Moves (B)

B↑ Diddy Kong keeps his jetpack, Dixie Kong twirls her hair but with no damage done and very great mobility/maneuver

B↓ Barrel Change, both kongs go into a barrel and swap out (would be cool imo!)

B→ Whip Tornado? Dixie twirs her hair in a forward motion. Hell its super smash, sakarai can make up some moves (he did with many characters *Fox/C. Falcon)

B (neutral) Bubble Gum Gun: Like Diddy's but temporarily stops an opponent (like Zero suit Samus neutral B)

as for her attacks she can do other things diddy kong doesn't like a barrel roll and use her hair for other techniques! Her grab can be like Yoshi/Samus/Lucas in terms of length. 

Keep them the same weight, it would be cool though if they changed her air speed+falling speed (making her more floaty like wario)

Donkey Kong+Diddy are definitely enough, i just personally see a who is the top 5 most realistic characters to get in ssb4 (thats unnannounced) and Dixie is amoung them with Chrom at the top!
