Global =/= USA.
Though I agree, he probably could've collapsed them into one thread with a bit of forethought.

It's redundant, that's my point. He's likely doing it because this is the region where it's up yoy.
He even thinks it's redundant himself if this post in that very thread is anything to go by;

Not a clue. You can investigate it if you wish. |
Nov they said 150k would be sold, it was 225k. (off by 75k, not that bad imo)

Cant find Dec Webush #s but i think many people were saying VGC had overtracked it (368k). It was 481k. I think webush said around 250k http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=176178&page=1

He could, yet it would be chaotic in the thread because some would talk about sales in USA while others about world wide/global sales... It would have been like party chat on Xbox 360 with a few people, it would have been a mess.

I spent some time reading that thread and I think user that said Wii U is being severely overtracked in USA made him do it just to spite of him, that user probably didn't care about USA because he was interested in Global sales... Anyway he is from Europe like me so I assume that he was annoyed about post/comment from that user that wrote; "Is this US numbers"
100% up 4/5 weeks, looks good.
an 2 threads are okay, both numbers in one thread would be a bit confusing.

So he made another thread because someone annoyed him by mentioning a region he doesn't care about, 11 days after the fact? That would be an incredibly strange thing to do.
I think it's more about the fact that he sees that the Wii U is up yoy by a good amount in NA so he wanted to shift focus to this region, it's hardly coincidence that this thread appeared right around the time the numbers for the week ending feb 1st were posted.
It's not a big deal but seems kind of superfluous, and as far as discussing sales of individual regions becoming chaotic in a thread sporting global numbers in the OP: we do it every week on vgchartz in the weekly sales threads so I really don't see the issue there.
This is great sign and basically is why Iwata said minor tweaks is what is needed. I joined this site week ago because I was tired of reading the negative s--- on this site in a regular basis on Nintendo. People just dont get it,Nintendo doesn't want to be number 1 and/or destroy the competition(like immature 16-24 year olds want) they want to be innovative and keep gaming entertaining. Mario Kart coming out in Spring will have the Wii U dominate the summer sales, watch.

1. You got it all wrong and it seems you interpreted the way you wanted... Read it again, please. He did not made this thread because of user that wrote "is this US numbers" and I was mentioning the other user that was saying that Wii U is being overtracked in US because Wii U sales were up YOY 95% as he claimed and that user pushed him to do it.
2. Look at number 1, I have a question... Are you paranoid or something? Are you on some medication?
...Also... What fact are you talking about? The user that complained in that thread about Wii U being severely overtracked in USA which then peaked interest of this user that created this and that thread. You are just jumping to conclusion about that user, almost like you are paranoid.
3. You just got used to it and talking about certain region in a thread about global sales is off-topic even when it is related.

1: Did I say it was this: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6030669 post that made him create this thread? No, that was simply to show how strange it seems to create this thread when he clearly states that he has no interest in this region and its numbers.
2: You're aware that you're breaking at least a couple of rules by engaging in a completely unprovoked personal attack, right? I have half a mind to report you. Calling me paranoid for asking legitimate questiones, inquiring about whether I'm on medication and generally lashing out and going super-defensive is way out of line, if anything; you seem to have a really strangely high level of vested interest in this user, especially for a member who is only hours old.
The fact I'm talking about is that the Wii U is up globally due to the increase in NA, and it seems very likely that he created a thread that showcases better numbers and increases for his favorite console. There's no harm in it, but it still seems like simply taking the discussion in the thread that was already made would be better; it also has a lot more post with several participants already.
3: So, you made your account today and you're going to tell a 6-7 year member what the rules are? How is it off-topic to do regional breakdowns in global sales threads? People do it every week, it's what the threads are for; discussing the sales. I can't believe you would write "is off-topic even when it is related", that is the most self defeating line I've read in quite some time.
