Yes, and they do this by not buying the product or getting their money back. That's the most direct contact and the loudest voice the consumer has.
The company is only accountable to their sales and not customer satisfaction. The latter is only relevant because it is one of the main causes for low or high sales. It is however not directly connected to the company.

If you choose not to hold companies to a standard, fine. But those of us who demand to be treated respectfully do.

I think you should only demand things you are entitled to.

Why are we not entitled to competent ports?

Because you didn't do anything for it, nobody promised it to you and you are not entitled to it by by law or human rights.

It's an entertainment product free to purchase. Why would you have any say in it?

What has the alw or human rights got to do with it?

They produce poor quality products, that is disrespectful to the consumer.

I buy games from whatever 3rd party, indie or not, as long as they are good. If AE results a good dev then day 1.

No it is not. Unless you are directly affiliated with the producer of a product you have no entitlement whatsoever.

That's like I would say that your low quality posts on this forum are disrespectful to me because there are better posts out there. They are not disrespectful because we are in no way affiliated and I don't have an entitlement to good posts in this forum. That's why I make a choice to either engage or ignore you. Either way my engagement with you has no effect on you because you are not obligated to amuse me.

No offense to your posts though. You have been polite and calm and I appreciate that.

When they decide to make a product, they're making an obligation to provide a service. If that service isn't quality, they're not treating their consumers right.

it is a good choice for an indie to go full nintendo. u dont need fullhd and u dont have to compete with so many AAA titles.

Quality is in the eye of the beholder. I don't buy cheap electronics and expect them to perform the same as higher priced products. I don't buy cheap consoles and expect quality.

That thought of obligation and entitlement stems from expectations that are not based on reality.

I don't think anyone has posted this yet but I'm pretty sure this is a ex EA developer who got cut off from them recently http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/128214-Exclusive-EA-Shutters-North-Carolina-Studio and that explains the AE name. And the Wii U stratagy, they are the anti EA.

Also some games that they MAY have developed. Since I think this is them. http://www.ign.com/companies/ea-north-carolina

Some decent detective work there...

Though I still do have my questions about the validity of this all, myself...
