However, I disagree with their reference to Ubisoft, Ubisoft has done just about everything possible to support the Wii U and even the best selling Wii U ports of their games sell far less than other platforms. I can't really blame 3rd party publishers for not wanting to put their games on the Wii U after seeing the sales for games like Assassin's Creed on the platform, it's obvious that only casual titles are going to sell well on the Wii U. The problem is only going to worsen for Nintendo over the next few years, soon enough most games will be next-gen instead of cross-gen, developers won't want the Wii U holding back the other platforms graphically. |
And wasn't the Wii U version of Bl Ops 2 the best console version? It's just the entirely wrong genre for the Nintendo fanbase.
And heck, even when Nintendo itself publishes a new IP the Nintendo fans reject it (Wonderful 101). That's utterly shameful, how can any Nintendo fan complaining about lack of 3rd party support? How is any 3rd party supposed to feel encouraged to try new things with Wii U when Nintendo can't even get people to buy into new IP?
