For years I grew up hoping for freedom, but alas after much thought and consideration, oh and some soul searching I will be voting no.

1, I don't know? Should Brittany separate from France? Should California separate from the US?
2. Probably not.
3. Well the United Kingdom will probably have to get a name change.
Let me be the first one to say: If Trashleg doesn't like either one of the scenario's she can stay at my place

My opinion is that it should be no, that Britain is greater with all parts. History is also a massive part of my reasoning, and some fat little horrible guy who is looking for power for himself (salmon) shouldn't be allowed to screw it all up.
The issue for me is when do you stop fools trying to rip countries apart. Should we allow Cornwall to break away, how about some other parts of the world, just because 200, 300, 400 hundred years ago it was all different. At some point you have to say, it is what it is, get over it. To be honest it irritates me greatly. :)
No
I bloody well hope not for every single Scot.
Scotland will find themselves in an odd position of having a currency which they hold no control of meaning they cannot take necessary measures to stimulate their economy (the very same thing which is currently crippling a lot of countries which are using the Euro).
It all just seems to be nostalgic idealistic nonsense that the SNP are spouting. I think the realities would be very very different to the wonderful "we can forge our own path/future" bull that is being thrown around.
I hope the Scottish public are given the full facts about the implications of independence. North Sea Oil won't last for ever and certainly won't pay for absolutely everything forever as the SNP seem to be telling people it will.

It determines what the name of the country the biggest game of all time (GTA V) is! Very important for gamers globally :P

Oh yeah, GTAV is a British game!
Vote no peoples!

1. Maybe. The UK government in doesn't care about Scotland at all (or anything north of the Home Counties for that matter) and if Scotland refocuses on a knowledge economy they could do very well. However, the initial logistical issues will be severe.
2. Snowball's chance in hell. The current data is solidly No.
3. Basically nothing. For geopolitical purposes, the UK is just London, really.
