And the Xbone can't run that POS at 1080p? WTF?

Minimum Quality PC game =/= Xbox One game.

PC games are made to scale from old antiquated/low end machines right up to high-end, expect the recommended to be significantly higher.

They basically decided to make a concession of sacrificing resolution for prettier pictures and they probably used a high-level API as the game is relatively small and simple and probably hasn't been in development all that long, plus it's using an almost decade old well understood game engine...

Sweet requirements. I could sell a videocard and still max it (yes I'm exaggerating.....probably) .

Yeah, I forgot it's using Source. Still wonder why they choose that other than the ease of access to the engine.

Considering Respawn isn't exactly founded rookies, they probably could have used anything, including the Cryengine 3. And to think they even said the PS4 couldn't handle this game to avoid telling people MS paid for exclusive rights for it.

Talk about a complete farce.

Respawn is headed by guys who left Infinity Ward, Call of Duty as you know uses a variation of the Quake 3 engine.
Ironically enough, Source has roots in that same engine technology, albeit heavily modified.
Over the years Valve has refined and tweaked it's development tools.

If I were to start a game company who has only used derivatives of the quake engine and needed to push out a game fast to raise some capital to support the new business... Source is a fantastic place to start with all the developer tools and documentation.
It's also a very lean and fast game engine, it wouldn't be a stretch to assume they wanted that engine for how easy it would be to maintain 60fps.

As for whether the Playstation 4 could handle it? Well. Whatever the Xbox One can do, the Playstation 4 can do better, unless it's in regards to the OS/Kinect and other addons, there is zero technical reasons why the PS4 couldn't handle Titanfall from a hardware perspective.

Good news then!

I might be getting this as soon as it goes on some sort of crazy Steam deal, gameplay looks awesome.

Theyve now confirmed it will NOT be coming to steam.

Totally offtopic but I just wondered, does the PS4 have an hypervisor option? would bring both consoles theoretically closer if not

I heard it will be on origin (EA's version of steam) so I doubt it will be on steam...
