A disturbing undercover video showing cows too sick to stand being shoved with forklifts or dragged with chains across a cement floor at a Southern California slaughterhouse has sparked the largest beef recall in the nation's history.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture ordered a recall of 143 million pounds of beef Sunday evening from Chino-based Westland/Hallmark Meat Co., which is the subject of an animal-abuse investigation. The recall affects beef products dating back to Feb. 1, 2006 that came from the company.

What's really messed up is - how this company sold a lot of beef to federal programs, especially school children. Dang ... that's really jacked up.

After I saw an episode of Faces of Death and how sausage was made, I nearly hurled ... but a few days later, the smell lured me again

I rarely eat beef. Except in school. So now I won't eat beef in school

I'm not hungry I just ate Breakfast anyways.


I don't like eating cows that can't walk and are beaten and abused.

Whew. I made a batch of chili over the weekend, so when I saw this, I was like, "damn, I hope I didn't eat horrid beef."

Thankfully, it was only provided to school lunches and In-N-Out Burger.
