Ok, so Little Mac is in. Based on this, who do you think will be announced next?

Say...top three possibilities? We know now that it doesn't necessarily have to do with current game popularity based on Rosalina (who hasn't starred since Mario Galaxy) and now Little Mac.

So who do you think will get in next?

Little Mac was going to be in it and the poll had nothing to do with it.  Little Mac's stage was in the game's debut trailer.

Dixie, Palutena, and Shulk seem most likely in my mind to make it.  Assuming Shulk is in Xenoblade and Nintendo wants to turn that into a big franchise, a rep in Smash would be a good place to start.  It seems like Kid Icarus will be a bigger presence in the series, seing its prominence in the debut trailer, Sakurai's involvement in the series, and the Kid Icarus stuff's prominence in updates.  Dixie makes sense with the fact that Nintendo has been making the DKC franchise far bigger since the original Smash came out.

I never said he was in because of the poll. That would be stupid. Krystal was No.1 in an official Nintendo poll for Brawl but she didn't get in. I'm mentioning it because he was No.1 in this particular poll, and he was announced shortly after. I thought that was funny/ironic.

Not sure in Xenoblade will be a franchise. I say that because of "X" being made by Monolith. Shulk could still be in there but I don't know. Agree with you on Dixie and Palutena. Those two seem very likely to get in.

what a stupid list xD - no offense to the 'fans' but only little mac and palutena make sense, the rest well... i can make a little list with 1 example for each mmm... the rest of the characters either:

-have very little to no history with nintendo (like Bayonetta)
-would be clones of existing characters (like Krystal)
-just don't make any sense (like Ridley)

that's just my opinion anyway, so to each their own but c'mon

Man we Smash fans are either one way or the other. It either is perfect or it doesn't make sense. I really don't see it that way.

True, Bayonetta would be a stretch, but with her now being exclusive to Nintendo (at least for the moment) the possibility is there.

The point of having Krystal would be to NOT make another clone. The writer even said to use her staff and telekinesis to make her different than Fox.

Ridley I'll give you. He's big and scaling would be an issue, but fans really want him so that's why he's on the list.

Personally, the only character on the list that is unrealistic is the Mii's. I don't know why people think they could be in it, but that's the power of the fans for you. Aside from them though, everyone seems logical in one way or another.

And while you and I like Little Mac (I can't wait to play as him) I've seen a bunch of fans NOT happy to have him. I know right? They said he's "as generic as generic can be". Wow.

Krystal could use a staff and fight totally different. Ridley makes sense and could totally work considering charizard worked quite well. 

Umm.... Krstal (star fox) would be a very unique character. She wouldn't be a clone cuz she would have a moveset based on starfox adventures (a magical staff.

Palutena yeah for a second representative for KIU *you agree

Chrom will be in the game, how do you not see this? It will be him and Marth for FE characters

Dixie Kong, this has the best chance of the DK characters, but it could be fine with just 2. But if they added one (from DK franchise) it be her.

Shulk represents Monolith Soft a great developer and fairly popular. I definitely see him or a character in the new game X taking a slot

Mii is kinda self explanatory.

Te rest have very very little chance.

characters on that list that wont stand a chance to make it are Bayo+Bomberman+Geno+Neku (WTF to this guy?)

Oh yeah did i mention my most character to be in the game is Geno? (since SSBM) so no im using logic and not personal choice
