I figured he'd be left out. Who cares about him, honestly...? He always seemed so random to me, there are more popular and more suitable Pokemon they could've used. Hope Mewtwo makes a comeback; would make sense, considering his recent X/Y return and mega evolution.

He is the most popular pokemon outside of gen 1. Even if i dont like him

The importance he has on the plot of Pokemon X/Y, the first non legendary to be the star of a movie, how rare he was on Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum with the only way to have it was to hatch an egg received from Ridley, the ammount of marketing Nintendo has made in his name and dont forget the HUGE amount of fanart he has :D

Do you follow pokemon? Cuz if you did you realize he is beyond the most popular pokemon. He starred in a movie (not even legendary), represents gen 4, was in SSB, He is OU in pokemon (overused), He has a mega evo including he is the first mega evo in the XY games and is mandatory. Most popular pokemon in gen 3 is probably Blaziken (cant stand it) and gen 5 is Zoroark and both are less popular than lucario!
