Forums - Nintendo - Warner Bros. cancels Arkham Origins DLC for Wii U, Nintendo sending refunds

Not as bad as a full game cancel, but still stings a little. This system can't catch a break.

Being a lack of demand nintendo wouldnt have had to refund much

Arkham origins is a good game, way better that Arkham city, really happy that I bought it full price on the Wii U. I'm not perturbed that the DLC isn't coming - I appreciate at the very least they brought the game over to the Wii U.

If this keeps happening with other games its gonna be real bad. For the fans, I hope its the last.

Pretty shitty of Warner Bros. Thanks for buying our content, please understand you will not receive the content you paid for and we will keep your money.

You know it's bad when giving refunds to everyone who brought your season pass costs less then putting out the last peice of content for it...

"As a result, we [Nintendo] will be crediting the entire $19.99+tax cost of the Season Pass back to your Nintendo eShop account."

Warner Bros. didn't give anybody a refund; at least, that's not how it appears. If I'm not mistaken, I believe most "season passes" usually come with a disclaimer noting that the publisher reserves the right to NOT supply the content the user is purchasing. Buying a season pass is entirely an act of faith.

Sounds like Warner Bros. kept the money and bailed, and Nintendo offered refunds to the (evidently very few) people who bought the season pass.

Does Nintendo even fight for this stuff or just go oh well dont release it then. It just seems like so little care.

Like when skyrim DLC didnt come out for PS3, Sony went in and helped them get it working and gave a day 1 discount for it when it eventually came out.

Im not saying Nintendo didnt try but it does seem like there customers get the shit end of the stick alot.

Well I personally don't get DLC on any system hower I do agree it is a pretty crappy end of the stick lol.

What I find funny is they based this decision on preorder sales of the content. I don't think many Nintendo gamers preorder stuff. It is not how they do things. If you look at say Pokemon preorders they are well below the first day sales generally.

However in this case I don't think it would have mattered either way but still a stupid way to judge sales.

I was going to buy this game for the wii u' but i guess i wont anymore...

Why, did you actually planned to buy the DLC? I have the game on my Wii U, and is still a good game. I buy a lot of games for all my console, but I NEVER buy DLC, 99% of time time is useless and overpriced.

rock bottom for the wiiu

But it is true, at least in this case. It didn't had multiplayer.

True, MP is missing, but the price was reduced as a result, instead of 60, the game went out for 50 (40 if you got into the amazon 10 U$ credit for the next sale). By the way do you know how good the MP is?, is just terrible, it actually makes the overall package worse and make the game lose some points on reviews because it is in.

I am happy with my purchase, I beat the game already and it has a good lenght, the plot is not missing any parts, so the DLC is really extra stuff, not parts cut-out to sale later, I was never planning on buyint it, so I guess the demand was pretty low for it.
