I always hated them for their stupid backwardness when it comes to business and PR but they basically told me everything I wanted to her from them:

- Acknowledgement of the gamepad misconception.

Acknowledging a failer is not the same thing as fixing a failure. This point is more along the line that they're going to be perfect.

- No game developement for mobile.

Same as the other two. They'll be making smartphone game ads if I understood correctly. It's good! Just not unique.

- A Nintendo network app coming soon (similar to the PS app I assume).

Same point as above. It's them catching up to the competition.

- More Nintendo titles being developed by third party developers.

I don't like this one as a gamer, but it should be good for business.

- More VC support.

It's nice and all, but it's also a really small feature in the grand scheme of things.

- Proper utilization of the gamepad.

I certainly wouldn't consider NFC proper use of the gamepad. Did I miss something?

With all that I said I'd go out right now and buy a Wii U if my ps4 wasn't already on it's way.

Thoughts?

Thoughts in bold.

Really I'd say they're on the path to perfect but they certainly aren't there yet.

LOL Why so pessimistic, bro? And how could you hate out-house developement? Some of them have better ideas than Nintendo.

From a gamer POV not even close. They are still a far more insular Japanese company than Nintendo was even in the 1990s, when Yamauchi gave NOA far more authority to do things like go ahead and make say ... GoldenEye.

Today, Retro Studios would probably be laughed out of Nintendo's offices if they dared to ask to work on some off the wall project not based on a pre-existed Nintendo Japanese IP.

1990s Nintendo > modern Nintendo in almost every way from a gaming POV IMO. The only thing this iteration of Nintendo has over 90s Nintendo is EAD Tokyo.

But Nintendo's perfect. How could that even be possible?

What are you getting at exactly?

1992-1999 Nintendo >>>>> modern Nintendo

EAD Tokyo is really the only one even keeping this gap close.

I'm poking fun at your thread title while presenting a serious point. Nintendo's games are top notch.

"More VC support" remains to be seen. They already promised N64 and GC games a long time ago. Still, they spend time porting old NES games that nobody cares about.

Ill wait and see

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

Come now, you know Nintendo has to be running on Android before it can achieve Perfection.

Merely modelling its strategy after Android will allow it to achieve Semi-Perfection at best.
