Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo adding a new business, independent of video games

"it becomes a thing to you of not disease, and to monitor the health how, appropriate suggestions that, you can You." You can you? You can you!

Anyway, I was slightly confused about this. So, is Nintendo making something that has absolutely nothing to do with video games? If they are, what's with all this Blue Ocean talk? And with the graph showing the leap from console to "non-wearable"? I really need clarification!

Nintendo brand health milkshakes, vitamins, cookbooks, yoga mats, etc. I could see. Probably they will create a new brand for this.

So Nintendo is finally expanding eh... What they should do imo is buy some more love hotels in Japan, I always wanted to have sex in a Mario themed room

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

I have no no idea what that meant...

If you see this graph here, it sheds light on the question:

In essence, the two business platforms (Game and QOL) will inform each other, shedding insight on what the next service or product will be (blue arrow to orange box, orange arrow to blue box).

Though the two business platforms have different aims, they will still integrate, as they are both under the same corporate umbrella.

Okay, after looking at that it makes slightly more sense. Nintendo made the Wii/DS when they were desperate, so maybe this will be a savior to them... once again.

Also, sorry to say, but there were two threads of this posted before yours. :/

"Expand the definition of a game" becomes "Expand the definition of Entertainment".

I've never seen such a scary statement in my life.

Umbrella Corp. I believe

What do they mean by nonwearable? Im really confused. Holograms?

Probably entertainment services, kind of like Team Beachbody. Most likely a live community of people connected with professionals who offer health and fitness programs (to start), then learning services (step 2).

I totally disagree. I think it's really naive to think that 'leapfrogging mobile and wearable technology with non-wearables' means classes and programs.

It means something device related, or claiming that 'nonwearables' "leapfrog" mobile and wearable tech is a meaningless obfuscation of his simple point.

I think they are milking the ambiguity about what all this could mean into causing buzz - people are really going to debate what they mean for a while. They've specifically said they want the meaning to remain mysterious for a while.

But no. I can see why you think so, and I'm not saying "I know I'm right about this and I know for a fact you are wrong," but I really don't believe 'leapfrogging mobile and wearable with non-wearable devices' means 'health consulting services and afterschool programs' at all.

tagging for later....I'm going asleep.
