Yes! But it worked out fine from a business standpoint as the DS became their most successful game system ever:p

Yes, and that proves still my point. They needed to kill one to support the other, and same can happen this time.

Well if this means most fitness "games" go to the new device, everybody can rest easy.

That means that hardcore gamers get exactly what they want, GAMES in the old style of controlling with a controller, and casuals get fitness apps on a cheap thingamajig.

Exactly. Ofcource this may not be the case, but if it is then why are people complaining? Isn't this what they always wanted - for casual fitness, educational games to get the hell off traditional game systems like whatever future home console/handheld console Nintendo release?

I'm fine with it, but really I didn't hear any solutions yesterday to the broader problems the Wii U/3DS are having. It's going to be another rough fiscal year for Nintendo.
