I don't live in Australia, so I could not care less.

Also, Azure datacenters are being built in Australia right now. Titanfall is so big they are actually putting servers there just for the game.

Link?

I'm pretty sure he's joking about the part where they are being built just for Titanfall, but according to the GAF, there should be one in Aus by the end of this year.

I fucken pray to God they are putting up a dedicated server for Titanfall, I am aware of the azure data centre coming up but nowhere does it mention that Titanfall will be a top agenda.

As someone that has been REALLY looking forward to this game (i have the damn statue edition on pre-order to ship from their online store $400!!!!!) and who has been raising concern at the use of cloud excluding local ISP from hosting, this is the exact kind of shit I was hoping to avoid.

Fuck seriously I'll still get this game, that's how much I like what I'm seeing but this is a big blow to me and I hope that MS / Respawn care enough for their dedicated fanbase to allow local ISP to host or get azure running with Titanfall included ASAP.

amazing power of the cloud right there.

Edit: what about all the stuff that supposedly runs on cloud processing?

They will use dedicated server but the US or EU... high ping... disadvantage for Australian players.

Wonder what Sony will do with PSnow for Aussies...

Not start a PR campaign about something questionable.

Does it make a difference where the servers are?

Definitely. We will most probably see this topic very often this gen. Multiplayer-experience, cloud problems, PSnow-issues, download speeds, pings... A LOT.

Why does Australia only get servers?? That country only has 20 million people.
