Forums - PC - Which monitor did you end up with? poll: max resolution,90% plays full hd or higher

Whats your max possible resolution?

HD+ 1600x900 33 10.68%

UXGA 1600x1200 4 1.29%

FULL HD 1920x1080 203 65.70%

WUXGA 1920x1200 23 7.44%

WQHD 2560x1440 33 10.68%

WQXGA 2560x1600 6 1.94%

QSXGA 2560x2048 5 1.62%

Total:307

Mine's 1080p, I haven't really got the hardware to pull off higher resolutions with many effects anyway so it would be kind of a waste. Considering a better monitor next year along with a monster upgrade of the entire rig!

Just sat waiting for the delivery of my pre-retail LG 31MU95 :)

4096x2160 for the record, so not on a poll option currently.

That's almost 19/10, what a weird aspect ratio.

Please excuse my bad English.

Former gaming PC: i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Current gaming PC: R5-7600, 32GB RAM 6000MT/s (CL30) and a RX 9060XT 16GB

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

Absolutely awesome for a designer, though.

I have 2 27" Dell IPS U2713HM Monitors.

Usually play on One (2560x1440) and watch TV on the other.

I connected a spare iPad 3 panel I had lay around to a PCB I bought from abusemark and now have a little 9" screen running 2048x1526 resolution off of my GPUs display port, I guess I'll build it into the front of the case (obsidian 900d) at some point.

That's digital cinema 4K, or DCI 4K. Perfect for film editting. I bet games will look awesome on that too.
I wonder if there are also full aperture 4K monitors at 4096x3112

My computer monitor is getting a bit old. Though it's still in perfect condition and it was a very good one when it was new, so I have no desire to replace it. It wouldn't be a problem for my graphics card to go higher, but my monitor's maximum resolution is 1600x1200 due it's old-fashioned aspect-ratio. That's the PC I game on though, this iMac I'm typing on can go 1920x1200.

The tv where my (newer) consoles are hooked up to is also getting a bit old. Likewise, it's still in perfect working order and was a high-end model when it came out yet it's max resolution is 1080i.

Thanks for the explanation.

I heard there were different 4K resolutions, but I didn't know its differences.

My current moniter is a 24" Samsung 1200p but I'm finking of upgrading to a 27 inch to get a bigger and better gaming experience, but firstly I'm unsure if I should buy a TN, VA or IPS panel and secondly I'm unsure about the optimal resolution since it seems all 1440p screens have much higher latency (+5ms) than 27 inch 1080p screens (1-2 ms) and I'm afraid that will hurt my competitive ability in online games.

Also I'm unsure about the update frewquence of the screen (60mhz, 120mhz, 144mhz etc).

What I should do?
