Rumored surprise entrants:

Dolph Ziggler (He'll be backstage tonight and will be in the Rumble, medical clearence pending)

Chris Jericho (he's at a car show today in Pittsburgh - at the very least he'll be backstage, off camera)

Sheamus (same as Jericho)

Christian (fully recovered from his concussion)

Jake "The Snake" Roberts (Jake has been lobbying to be in this for a year now - plus he made a surprise showing at old school Raw a couple weeks back)

Kevin Nash (He spent last night in Pittsburgh)

2 Cold Scorpio (was a prominent name in ECW, also worked in WWF as Flash Funk - this is another nostalgic card that will help promote the broad spectrum of talent that's archived in the WWE Network)

Jimmy Wang Yang (he's been making hints on Twitter, was backstage at last weeks Raw, and is close friend with Batista; having close connections in pro wrestling is good)

Gene Snitsky (Was backstage at at WWE house show in Reading, Pennsylvania last night)

Rob Van Dam (there's been talk of him signing another contract with WWE lately)

Kane (part of CM Punk's angle vs. The Authority - if Kane were to eliminate Punk, it'd set up a grudge match at WM XXX)

HHH (same as Kane)

Sting (highly unlikely rumor, but if he'll ever perform in a WWE ring, it'll be this year at WM XXX)

Papa Shango (Rumor teased by Wade Barrett; his hint - Voodoo [For those who don't know Papa Shango's gimmick was a Witch Doctor, he'd later become the Godfather])

Hulk Hogan (Another connection to the Wade Barrett rumor - one of Hulk Hogan's theme songs is Voodoo Child by Jimi Hendrix)

Rusev Alexander (NXT wrestler possibly debuting tonight)

The Ultimate Warrior (The first Hall of Fame entrant for 2014, Warrior and WWE have come to some kind of agreement that will likely culminate at WM XXX - there's rumor that he may face Ryback then)

The bolded were in the Rumble tonight

also, I played Royal Rumble Bingo - here's how I did:

I guess they needed a big name to headline wrestlemania. Batista doesn't have the draw he used to so it was a bad decision on their part. Plus he's old and he's been out of action. Oh well. Still a great PPV marred by the worst Rumble Match I can recall.

Kofi made me mark out, though!!

I agree, they need to stop screwing with what the fans want, they look like they have egg on their face now. Batista was bad, but I hated the year Sheamus won.

reigns saved the crowd

I am strangely livid right now.  Seriously.

Batista did NOT earn that spot, not after leaving on bad terms and badmouthing the company for the four years he was away. PLUS he already won in 2005, he's 45 fucking years old, does not deserve to be in the main event slot at wrestlemania, he....fuuuuck!

Seriously, ANYONE ELSE would have been a better choice.  Reigns, Punk, Bryan, Fucking Big E Langston or Ryback would have been better.

Oh, and to top it all off, Bryan - the biggest star right now - LOST a one on one match with  husky harris and didn't even go INTO The goddamn royal rumble.

Then having Reigns break Kane's Record and NOT having KAne break Micheal's record in the process was just insulting to kane (don't get me wrong, reigns is awesome, but he is NOT better than Kane.)

Then having Punk come out at #1 and not win it after all the hard work he's been putting in over the last five years is just...seriously FUCK THAT!

This is worse than John Cena winning last year.  at least Cena was a bona fide work horse and had been earning his wins and the conclusion (fighting against the Rock) was a sure thing at Wrestlemania and a huge draw.  this?  What is this I don't fucking even.  Seriously.  Fucking fuck WWE Creative.  Fuck them for not giving it to someone more deserving.  Fuck them for blowing over punk AGAIN.  Fuck them for not even bothering to give Brock a proper, clean win with PHYSICAL domination.  ANYONE can beat someone down with a chair.

Oh, and the fucking NEw Age Outlaws as tag champs?  Road Dogg's like, 48 or something, and Billy Gunn is 50!

I honestly don't know how they could have fucked this up more.

This PPV shows that WWE genuinely does not give a rat's ass about what we want to see.

At that end of the ppv you could hear michael cole say: batista is saying, "he's going to win the wwe world heavyweight championship deal with it"

That's vince telling cole to say that, he's pissed off.

The only way they could save this is by having a Triple threat at Mania with Daniel Bryan

And that's the problem.  Everyone knew it.  IT was written on the wall for ages leading up to it, Then all the dirt sheets said the plan was him going for the title at wrestlemania.

PRedictable is fuuuuucking booooooring!

Reigns winning would have been MUCH better.
