game looks okay,but nothing mind blowing. It could be fun though.

if this was an exclusive, users would be fighting in here by now. with comments like "but it's only running at 720p on the X1, so no interest" or "[insert favourite company] makes the best games, just check out the gameplay depth, graphics isn't everything"

it's unreal engine 3.0.

It looks fun... but it doesn't look as good as Human Revolution or Dishonored imo. But we'll see. Thief games aren't exactly fun to watch, but their fun to play.
(Which isn't necessarily a great thing since Dishonored borrowed heavily the previous Thiefs).

Good things:
It looks good, levels look well designed and thankfully large again, not split in small parts like Thief III had to be due to the first XBox small RAM, and the gameplay has been kept quite faithful to Thief style.

Bad things:
Difficulty looks a little watered down, although this can be said also of Thief III, with once rare arrows and tools become spammed enough to allow to start missions with full inventory without buying any of them, and with those climbing gloves a lot easier than rope arrows.

Wishes:
That part of the apparent easiness be due, as some here suggest, to the fact that the video shows the game played by people that already know it.
That they consider reintroducing swimming in future Thief games and hopefully expansions of this one too, possibly as alternative, not unavoidable paths, to make happy both those that like it and those that don't.

Concluding, from the little we saw, it looks like gameplay won't be as good as in Thief II, but the game should be quite better than Thief III, that despite its flaws was more than decent. Obviously its graphics will be a lot better, but that's to be expected, almost 10 years after Thief III.

Of course not because there is no hype. This is probasbly the least hyped next gen game........
