Didn't people not like Halo 4's multiplayer? So I don't think it would be a good idea hiring him...

Maybe I was being a little harsh when I said awful, but I am a composer myself and I was totally let down by the score. I booted up Halo 3 not long ago, and let the main theme play out and there is a section in that score where you can hear this very sorrowful piano come in, and it's absolutely beautiful. Marty, imo, is the John Williams of video games. He's in the elite class of about a handful of composers working in the industry and probably the only non Japanese composer I enjoy.

You have to understand that what 343 wrote, came off of the work Bungie and the books/fan fiction was able to create.

Yes but Bungie never gave a shit about the books as you can see from Reach. So I'd say 343 is doing a way better job with the story.

Then that's good news! I'm really hoping to see playlists that allow for 32 people in Halo 5.
Making a game with increasing intention of being "for" esports is inversely proportional to its actual entertainment in both normal and pro games.
I absolutely LOVE watching pro Halo tournaments. The amount of skill needed is wonderful.

I really do hope that 343 puts them in this game, they need someone to provide dialog now that Cortana is gone and since John isn't very talkative. The fact that 343 put Linda and Frederic in Forward Unto Dawn is hopefully a good sign that they plan to introduce them into the games. Really there's no reason why they couldn't introduce them, they returned to Earth after the events on Onyx a few Years before Halo 4, and John returned to Earth at the end of Halo 4, so it stands to reason that he would have met back up with them and been assigned back to Blue Team as leader. |
Imagine being able to choose who you wanted to play with...and each having their own stories to play through. Kinda like mini campaigns for backstory and the main campaign is playing with Chief and everyone meeting up.
I'm amazing people can making a living playing games like that. It's kind of a big joke they used to have in the 90's that all these high paying computer game players would be wanted. It was on a Sunday cartoon like Bloom County or something.
But I have ended making money off most of my hobbies at one time to another. Seems most anything can happen sometimes.
Edit - found it, it was a Gary Larson 'The Far Side' and adjusted for inflation the $50k then would be over $100k now, so double all the prices.
