Sorry, but i dont agree at all.

At least with me they have been understanding and fair.

Its important to have strict modding cause theres still alot of posters that try to ignore it and deliver profanities and vulgarities to other posters instead of having civil discussions.
Even with all of this, theres still alot of trolling going on in Nintendo threads and the Wii U, aswell as Vita and Xbox. Those are the usual targets and its best that it gets toned down. That kind of thing leads people to leave the website.

Cant control your loudmouth? Then its best you leave than everyone else. Thats my view on it.

The whole "if you have nothing nice to say don't say it all" kindergarden mentality is so naive to apply to the internet.

Actually, it isn't naive at all.  It's immature to believe your opinion matters when the only thing you do is express an opinion, not build an argument on sound reason, logic and facts.

What is the point of putting down someone else's choice?  Does it somehow make you more intelligent?  No, you just think you are.  People make choices all the time for varying reasons.  Some of them rational and logical, some of them emotional and impulsive.  Who cares.

The problem with the OP's comment is he was attempting to shutdown the conversation by implying that based on his opinion, not an actual fact, no one should want either of those two games/series on the Wii U.  Because owners of the console should never expect another game.  That a logical fallacy.

The console is Nintendo's current console, and those people who own the console have a right to expect first and second party support.  So telling them to stop expecting it is ludicrios.

It takes a whole lot of arrogance and immaturity to believe your opinion regarding a product is more important than the people who rightfully own a product.

Oh. That kind of abuse. I thought this was the thread where I could finally tell the world what Smeags made me do to him, but I guess I'll keep that to myself for now.

I agree with Mr Khan even though I received like a few warnings but I think his warnings are fair and same goes for other mods

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

As for your comment, it didn't even come close to trolling and or flamebaiting. Mr khan just needs to learn the difference from trolling and criticizism. I guess you could say his preference is obviously nintendo and you could also say that he might have some issues with criticism against nintendo.

While i have no comments on your opinions about how moderation is handled in VGC, i do agree that your comment was not ban worthy, i don't know your backstory though

Sigh...why are we doing this again? Occasionally someone comes along, gets angry with a ban and then writes a thread about it. Which is in itself against the rules, you know.

I see no issue with the action taken. You called the Wii U dead, what did you expect to happen? That's flaming after all. So I don't know where the issue is.

By the way, if you have a problem, message the head mod (Axumblade) or maybe post in a kind, constructive way in the thread below:

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

It's like you have to know the difference between walking in a room and saying:

"Hey douches: what are you sucking at today?"
and
"Hey folks. What's up?"

Just because you meant the same thing both times doesn't mean people are equally receptive to both ways of saying it.

Censoring language online is just silly. What if I wrote "struggling" instead of "dead" Would that be less offensive? Again, I didn't make a personal attack on anyone. What my opinion is about a console shouldn't warrant a ban.

And where are the bans for people who claim that Sony will go bankrupt? Isn't that the same vein as saying the Wii U is dead/failed/doomed?

It isn't the language so much as the attitude. And this isn't just 'generic online,' where you can find all sorts of filth and rot. This is an online community. Just because you can't see anybody's face doesn't give you carte blanche to treat them however you wish. Try going to a restaurant and saying whatever you want.

I also think you need to look at how that comment may fit in with your entire past history of comments rather than just what was said in that post. If you had basically been picking Nintendo-fan fights for a protracted period of time, that post might have been more like the straw that broke the camel's back than the entire end all and be all of why you were banned.

I think too that the first thing you did in response was create this thread about how mods are ruining their own site speaks to all this. It's their site - if they feel like YOU are ruining, THAT'S a problem. If you don't like it, that's on you. I don't go into an art museum and start shouting at patrons  "The curator's crappy taste is RUINING THIS ART MUSEUM!" and then pat myself on the back for being a good patron.

If you have a history, then the mods have their eyes on you more. If a Nintendo fan said the same thing as you they probably would not get banned, because it is clear that they like Nintendo and mean no harm. While if you said it, and you have a bad history then it is clear to the moderation team that you do mean harm.

The same people who thought Mario World and W101 would save the Wii U believe MK8 and Smash will. What's so unreasonable about calling out that prediction as naive? The Wii U is trending downward as a matter of undisputed fact based on sales data comparing it to other Nintendo consoles. Many people including myself believe it will fail. How is that not a sound conjecture?

Lastly, I'm not criticizing anyone's choice. I'm critizing people who think that MK8 and Smash will save it because I keep seeing these comments over and over. It boggles my mind and therefore I called them out on it.

There was no trolling or flaming. MK8 and Smash will NOT save the Wii U, and you can quote me on that in the future.
