I'm curious what you folks spent on your new hardware. Include peripherals (vita, external hdd, etc).

My Wii U was $300 and came with a tablet (obviously)

i bought a 2 terabyte hard disk drive for $90

i also bought a console stand + Gamepad charge cradle for $20

and on back order i have a GamePad battery extension pak for $40

my Wii accessories carried over for free.

$450

for that i get a tablet console with unlimited space for digital games.  I can play any HD game in my collection from any room without getting up to change discs.  It's like an iPad Mini except better.

I got my PS4 bundle with Killzone and FIFA for £469.99

So let's say each game was £40, so about £390 for PS4 + extra DualShock 4 + Camera

500€ for another PS4 with KZ and AC4, but sold it for 500€ vanilla, so 2 games for free.
Exchanged AC4 for Knack for which I got 5€
Need to buy analog covers for the DS4 cause the shitty rubber is wearing off, but didn't buy them yet.

So as off now 418€.

I understand your point about Vita, but if i bought a ps4 i'd use my vita as a peripheral.

Total spend - Far too much but who cares? (£1179.96)

To make it more complicated I do also have a Zelda regular 3DS which was £179.99 but I intend selling that now I've got the 3DS XL and have also previously had a Blue 3DS from just after launch which was £159.99 when it was tanking prior to the official price cut so I also got the ambassador stuff with this).
