They made no difference last gen, which is why the console sale numbers between Xbox 360 and PS3 are almost identical. Heres the bottom line to me. Call of Duty North America Sales - PS4 - 910k Xbox One - 980k Battlefield North America. Sales - PS4 - 660k Xbox One - 720k ----Near Identical U.S. console sales---- Fifa Europe Sales - PS4 - 880k Xbox One - 440k ----PS4 is beating Xbox One in Europe by alot--- Killzone + Knack has sold 1.73 million. Forza + Dead Rising + Ryse has sold 2.4 million. Xbox One has more exclusives (on disc) and it's made no difference, why? because the people buying these consoles are all COD/Battlefield/FIFA gamers. |
Forza is estimated at about 940k; Ryse @ 70k; Dead Rising 3 @ 70k
Killzone Shadowfall is @ 1.2m that's close to a 25% attach rate which isn't bad at all for any of these games I'd say! Also there are quite a bit more games I can play on the PS4 that you can't play on the Xone(some just for now)
edit: 1.63m COD:g for PS4 and 1.4m for Xone; in that light 1.2m for KZ:SF doesn't look to bad at all... Fair enough though people mostly bought the next gen consoles for next gen graphics and games not neccessarily exclusives available at launch
