Microsoft and EA confirmed Titanfall 1 will never appear on another Brand. The 2nd one though could.

Not could. It will, Cause i can assure you that EA is going to lose money in this deal.

Nothings ever that straight forward. Microsoft just advertised Gears Of War for all 4 games. They didnt pay any other money for it. And that was enough to cover exclusitivity. Either way for the next 2 years a Microsoft system is needed to play Titanfall. All versions require Xbox Live cloud to play. Including on PC.

It's going to be hard to secure an exclusive where the developers already stated that the sequel will be multiplat.

Titanfall was originally not just Xbox exclusive forever. That changed in November last year. Anything can change at anytime. Microsoft have plenty of revenue to hustle PS4. They will try everything from their new studios to exclusives like 3rd party Titanfall. Stating now a game thats not even in development is multiplat is useless.

I like to see MS try when they have both Respawn and EA against it. I'm pretty sure EA is kicking itself right now because it realizes it got the worse end of the deal.

Epic didnt have a problem with Gears Of War. And that franchise was a 7 mill selling game franchise on each game. Im not saying it wont go to  ps4. But EA and MS get on. Exclusive Fifa content, Madden Content, BF4 contennt available on Xbox One first 6 months earler, Titanfall etc. EA do alot with MS.

Gears is a bad example because it was made when Xbox was king. The deals for the extra exclusive content was also made before everyone was surprised about the huge success of the PS4. Making stuff exclusive on a console that has 2:1 market share is a bit different than going exclusive on a console that sells less than its competitor. Especially if you are EA and can't stand the thought of losing money.

I just can't imagine EA and other publishers to make big deals with MS if it lacks behind and I don't think MS is willing to just throw every bit of money they have on exclusives. The next years will certainly be interesting.

I wish they spent more on new studios than paying to keep multiplatforms off the rival system.

It would actually be better for xbox fans since they would get to play the game which MS would have otherwise paid to keep off the PS4 but they would also get another proper exclusive by staff directly working for MS.

effectively by paying third party devs they end up with 1 third party exclusive + hate from everyone that got screwed over because of the deal

by paying for their own game they end up with 1 first party exclusive + 1 multiplatform game - hate for buying success.

considering the third party studio is making money, its reasonable to assume MS are paying them more than their staff is getting paid so it would also be cheaper to make their own games. Furthermore, they end up with revenue from 2 games, 1 exclusive and 1 multiplatform which will still make a ton of money.

On top of that they get seen as the company to brings new IP's to gaming instead of the one that buys most things and has halo up their sleeve.

I think you will be surprised. Microsoft just have way more money than Sony. And both consoles launched strong. Niether was weak. Titanfall may help to change the public reception of PS4 in the states at least. Will be  an interesting year.

MS has a lot of money but last time I heard was that the execs weren't too keen of the gaming division so I don't think they will be pumping much into it. Titanfall definitely helps the X1 a lot, probably the most important game for the X1 this generation because it keeps the starting gap narrow.

Yes I would be surprised if MS still manages to get major exclusivity deals with the big publishers.

So, recently, videos from the Titanfall Alpha, and I have to admit that even I am somewhat interested in the game now. Problem is, I'm nowhere near sold on it yet to flush down $500 to buy an XBone, and I'm not much of a PC gamer so that really just leaves the PS4 version for me. Let's be honest, a PS4 version of the title is kindof innevitable at this point. The PS4 is quickly proving to be the most popular console of the 8th gen, and EA (one of the most money hungry companies on the planet) would be crazy to not invest in the PS4 market. I don't any ammount of money from MS can match the ammount mulah that EA could get from franchising it on the PS4. Granted, this version could easily take up to a year or more to release, but there are of course benefits of waiting (namely the fact that it'll be a completely finished bug free product at that point and any DLC/ expansions will be readily available).

So while I wait for this to happen, I'll be enjoying PS4's amazing lineup of games, and then Titanfall can just be another addition to the collection. Anyone else with me on this?

oh, is a Ps4 Version confirmed?

I was kinda disappointed with the 6v6 max players. Will get it on 360 though.

What? No way, is it really 6 v 6, or is that some sort of typo?

Besides  PS4 gamers have something better to look forward to, "Destiny". Once marketing for that starts, ps4 gamers are gonna be like "TitanFall who??"

I am way more hyped for The Division, than I am for Titanfall or Destiny.

Don't particularly like shooters except for Borderlands so no I don't care for Titanfall and wouldn't get it even if it was on PS4.
