I'd like a Star Fox, F-Zero, and Fire Emblem. However, those are only going to sell a few million each and not push too many systems. Animal Crossing would probably be a bigger system seller on the Wii U than those games combined.

Well, a new Star Fox game will not single handedly save the Wii U, but it has the chance to sell between 2m-4m copies - and I don't think Nintendo should refuse that. A good/great Star Fox game would also offer diversity to the Wii U line up. I also think a new Kid Icarus could serve the system well in the future.
I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!
Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.
It would be nice, and I would buy it day one, so they probably will not do it.
Nintendo has said they won't make a new entry in their franchises unless they can cook up something new in it.
And then they make NSMB times 10... I realize there's the coin thing in NSMB2 (which still hardly feels "new") but the block thing in NSMBU was just a gimmick.
Yep.

Do you even know what "<>" those signs mean? Because you are kinda using them wrong.
@OP I would really a new Starfox game, after Zelda it is my favourite Nintendo Franchise, but it wont happen. Nintnendo cannot risk to dedicate ressources to a game like this now. More people want Metroid even tough I doubt there are enough of them out there, they are a least more vocal, so they are making another Metroid game. And Starfox will become one of their forgotten franchises like F-Zero or Ice Climbers

I love you too...
And I would love a new Star Fox...
And I would also love a 3D Classics release of the first Star Fox on 3DS...
Hopefully, now that NSMB, 3D Mario, DKC, Wii Party U, Wii Sports Club, MK8, SSB, and Pikmin 3 have been/are getting released, we will get some announcements that we don't come to expect every year/few years...
***Prepares for Mario Party 10 and Wii Play U announcements***
Have a nice day...
I think you overstate the appeal of Starfox. Not to say its not great and doesnt have an audience, but there are like 100 games Nintendo "NEEDS" more then starfox. If they do make one, I kinda hope its a bit like starfox adventures!
You guys that say Starfox isn't needed because of it's past sales are kind of missing my point. What I'm saying is that I THINK that Nintendo could turn Starfox into something that is way more popular than it currently is, if they make it an epic starfox 64/rogue squadron like game with an amazing story and (personally I think this next part would help) online battles and ranking systems. I can't think of any other game that it would have competition with on any other console. I could be wrong, but are there other spaceship battle games that are popular currently? I'm not aware of any. So Nintendo could essentially have the monopoly on that genre altogether, which would make Starfox ridiculously desirable.

NSMB games are made as a buisness thing. They are made becasue NINty KNOWS that they dont have to put alot of effort and still move a bunch of copies and maybe some systems. Its easy money

That kind of game wont be popular in this day and age, that is what people are trying to tell you. Doesnt matter how good the story is cause who is playing an arcade space shooter for story in the first place? Probably a reason why these types of games arent made. Its not like the 3ds one sold gangbusters and didnt that have a MP mode?
