Forums - Microsoft - Bold Toast Prediction: Xbox One To Sell 400k - 500k the Week of Titanfall

I don't think Titanfall will do nearly as decent as Destiny will for hardware sales.

Example of cross-gen game that made a big jump in hardware sale ?

Example of cross-gen game at the beginning of last gen? Aside from Twilight Princess and the sports titles?

Twilight Princess doesn't count because if delaying it for well over a year to launch on the Wii wasn't enough, they slapped fans in the face by releasing it on the Wii a month before the Gamecube version.  So yeah.  Of course it's going to push sales when people are forced to purchase a Wii to play the game rather than wait another month.

And wii wasn't 500 $. I wouldn't pay 550$ for a crossgen title. Halo 5 would be worth it tough, for example.

edit : BTW why push for cross gen title instead of full exclusive on a console that has received so little support these last 3 years ?

Yes the goal is official. Hey, Sony fans main goal was to take second, and it only took 7 years to do it right? Soooo we kinda have higher standards by comparison. I estimate 2 years, tops.

Sony didn't want to be second with the PS3 just like Microsoft didn't want to be second with the XBO. Sony lost with the PS3, just like MS is losing with the XBO. Spin it all you want there is no way Microsoft wanted to be anything but first place this gen.

Nobody wants to not win. This is the goal of the fanbase, which in both gens, have adapted to the situation and made a realistic goal.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

I don't buy that. Microsoft does not come off as the kind of company that settles for second place.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

I can see 400k, but 500k is simply an impossibility.

I'd bet more along the lines of 260 - 320k.

Never talked about the company though. The goal is that of the fanbase.

Not that much, maybe the game itself will sell 500k at it's first week (X1 version).

wasnt this 500-600k like two hours ago?
