I doubt they will do much, users will just switch providers if they clamp down.

America is the best place in the world to live if you're rich. If you're poor? You're fucked

Sick.

I love how they use the good ol' "more room for innovation" to say "f#ck the customer even deeper in the @$$".

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

Well they did say they're bringing in more options. More options to screw you over and take your money.

Australia will still be blocked from everything streaming...

On another note, this opens the door for ISPs to block any sites that may be competitive and/or provide bad news on them or their parent company...

fuck.

Well I saw this coming, guess I just gotta wait til Google Fiber comes to my area.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Fuck the US government and the way it bends over for all these large corporations. Everytime the government has deregulated an industry sector, it goes to shit under the greed and folly of man. They continue to do so because money talks. These corporations lobby the shit out of this and pay people of influence large sums of money to giev them greater control. The US government doesn't give a flying fuck about the people, only the dollar bill.

If you compare the internet in the US against other first world countries it comes up short in terms of technological prowess. The speed of internet is FAR slower in the US than other countries such as South Korea. Why? Because these internet providers do not want to invest in the extra cost (of fiber optics for eg) to give people faster internet. They give you shittier internet for 3 times the price! Now with this added deregulation, it is basically bending the people over to ream them in the ass, charge them more, give them less. If the people continue to be sheep, this will become the norm. If the people step up and voice collectively that this is not something they want, then the government and these corps will realize they could not pass that one over.

Its always a game between corps and the people. The corporation always thinks "ok, what can we get away with", they try something unethical, if it slides unnoticed it becomes the norm. If the people stand up for themselves they go back and say "oh! we listen to you guys and are here for you so we will no longer do this".

Damn, this news pisses me off. What more do they fucking want?! How much richer do they need to be?! This fucking greed is the greatest poison in the US.

This is honestly really sad, ISP are getting more and more power where they shoudn't. The sad thing is, for many regions, these large ISPs have stomped the competition so that you cannot choose a smaller lesser known provider, you must choose one of these. They are monopolizing the industry and creating pacts with each other, as well as oganizations together in order to take more profits from a population that needs internet as a nessesity for norma business and social life.
