Maybe like Garden Warfare (if it was aimed at a larger audience)?
They have Metroid Prime otherwise.
Something like Eledees for Wii. Which was by the way a pretty solid FPS game with realistic physics.lol

I was thinking that, or let them have another stab at a Conduit game. I found both those games to be quite entertaining, with better hardware and a bit more backing i think there could be potential for a decent FPS
I would like to see a FPS about cops, something like Shanty Town Cops, the place is a third world city, you have to get inside the small corridors of a shanty town, and the people you shoot are drug dealers, narcos.
It's interesting that Nintendo made the genre on consoles, then kinda ditched it when it became popular. Nintendo has a history of good action adventure or shooting type games, but not much recently. They should make something new and fresh. Halo, Metroid, Goldeneye and others are examples of games that are shooters but not military or especially violent.
I'd like to see a new IP, or one with roots in Metroid but all new themes, characters and style.

I know that's the approach they took when they designed it, obviously. I'm just saying that on paper you've got all these elements, and it's a shooter at heart. Sort of like how you can claim a band is "post-neo grindcore" or whatever the hell, but at the end of the day it's still rock.

Bloodbath Paddy Wagon Ultra 9

I'd like that :P
All gameplay/mechanics, no story whatsoever. That's about as accurate as it can get.
Like Metroid, but with more guns/blasters and a different story.
