Man this will be the first season I haven't read the book it's based on! I have no clue whatsoever what's coming :P I'm so excited :D

Hum... The second season, right? Since they split book 3 into 2 seasons...

Although they may end up putting some parts of book 4 and 5 in it... But I'm not telling why though.

Well, since I live in Europe where they actually split up book 3 into 2 books I've read the first half of book 3 ^^ kind of I guess :P

Ah, right. Some publishers did that here as well. But I got the Bantam hardcover edition of the books and they didn't split them like many other publishers did.

Yeah I really should have read all the books by now. And I really really should read the last book in The Wheel of Time-series as well.... =/

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Isn't Game of Thrones only the first book?

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I was fast forwarding most of season 3. Don't know what all the fuss is about.

Honestly I do agree with you on some level.

I think the reason the show is so popular is because a lot of the viewers have already read the books and thus there is already a huge fanbase that the show taps into.

I myself have read the books, so I already know what will happen, but it is entertaining none the less.

Thats right, the title is of the first book is:

'A Game of Thrones'. The name of the book series is 'A Song of Ice and Fire'. Yet for the TV show they decided to avoid confusion so they just kept it as 'Game of Thrones'.

Its not just that but because the TV show dosen't run in the same sequence as the books. The third season (TV) has events that take place during the fifth book, and events from the third book.

Thats one of the things fans from the books are hoping will improve with the TV show; that the events taking place will be more coherent than the books which have recieved criticisim for their juxtaposition of events out of chronological sequence.

So happy that this season has finally arrived. I am anticipating a scene that I will likely watch over and over again with absolute bliss.

Jaime's arc was rushed forward. Looks like he'll have major character development on this one.

I wonder if there will be enough material to break AFFC and ADWD on three seasons. Given their slower pace, and the fact some AFFC events are happening on season 4, I don't think they will, unless it becomes a drag painful to see later on. GRRM better finish those books soon.

It'll be three years since book 5 this year, which would mean he's finishing less than a page per day.
