FinalFantasy13 you are a not the brightest person. I beat the game and i hated it. I was "successful", I want to select Snow and have his cast Blizzara just like i used to do in those old FFs, being able to select my characters actions WHEN i want and not having to have the AI do it for me is weak sauce. LMAO you didnt even play any other game but 13 if you believe that. Im sure of it. run to the inn, do you have a mental problem you get your HP back after every battle thats the definition of weak sauce.

YOu know i think figured you out, you werent good enough to beat the older FF games so here is a game in the series that is the easiest of the bunch and you want to feel good about yourself by saying you beat it. Ha. You want hardcore go play 3

3 NES or 3 US SNES? I played both finished only and owned 6 for my SNES which was 6 months after finishing Lunar on my Sega CD. Lunar>FF6 for it's time. P:

My fav FF's go like FFIV or FF1 keep flipping between the 2, XIII series next, FF6, never played FFX-X2 or IX but I think those are probably ahead of FF7 imho which I bought that game day 1 like Lunar and FF6. I have the FF3 NES (T) on my Dreamcast. Is it that good?

I need to pick up FFX-X2 remaster and grab FF9 from the PSN store along with the original Grandia with tax money I think.

FF7's battle system was nauseating the characters were pathetic. Cloud=Sensitive tough guy making up for something else with the size of his sword complex Aeris=sweet silly innocent flower picking girl Tifa=Dead or Alive big busted bimbo for big sword guy Barret=Mr.T cereal box cartoon character thrown in for giggles Sephiroth=Dark scray guy who couldn't make it in a hair metal band...I could go on...it was completely terrible and the graphics/ cinematic summons are the only thing that made it popular at the time imho.

I have another one.

"While it’s nice that older fans will get to see a fresh take on the Paradigm and Stagger system, they will get turned off by how many elements from past games have been recycled, from the enemies to the music. Yes, it’s a sequel, and some elements should be constant, but the sense of déjà vu is dangerously close to the point where you feel like you’re getting conned into paying full price for an FFXIII greatest hits remix. Even the game’s engine is having a hard time rendering the new open world structure in a consistent frame rate.

While a few aspects puts the game a few steps forward like the Schemas and fighting, other issues like its unfriendliness to new JRPG players and its old engine pull it a few steps back, reserving the game only for die-hard fans who don’t mind the whole FFXIII ordeal."

Or...Famitsu weighs in on Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, gives it a 37/40 or 10, 10, 8, 9 individually.

"According to the reviewers, the battles in Lightning Returns are interesting and the feel for speed is great. They are “extremely entertaining,” but if the player fails to pay attention to an enemy’s weakness even trash mobs can prove difficult. As a result, it’s important to make split-second decisions during battle. Even on Easy mode, Lightning Returns can be surprisingly difficult."

Good good, the more negative reviews, the more chance that this game will go on sale so I can get it.

...that is one way to approach the situation...I guess ?

The game will bomb down to 20 bucks a few weeks after release regardless of the reviews, the same happaned with XIII-2

XIII-2 was massively overshipped, that mistake will not happen again.

is that why the price dropped so fast? makes sense

FF7 is a good game IMHO but it is a bit overrated, ill give you that and only that. BUT the series as a whole is more popular and has sold more than 13 series. thats not gonna change I dont see Lighting returns setting the charts on fire. It'll def flop on 360

Another post along these lines, did they? I saw a few places put it down to $40 a few months after release, but that's hardly the price dropping fast.

I hated FFXIII and FFXIII-2.
Don't get me wrong, they were good games, i beat both and enjoyed them. But this is Final Fantasy, being a good game isn't enough for Final Fantasy. For FF, i expect the best only.
The FF XIII battle system was the only good thing going for it. The story telling was awful, i hated the lack of freedom and the extreme linearity of it. FF XIII-2 solved some things, but at the same time, it had its own mistakes.

I will play LR, but until I find it cheap.
