I think they'll have one soon to hype people up for DK but there won't be anything new announced, at least nothing big.

Then we'll probably get one more Direct before Mario Kart and then everything else at E3.

I think they should, and I hope they do. Their financial results aren't going to make for great press and they will probably finally revise down their insane Wii U estimate, which will propel doom talk for months and continue to damage Wii U's already battered reputation. Nintendo need to prove that games are coming and need to generate positive press for Wii U, no-one else is going to do it for them.

Looking forward to it! I don't think it will be as spectacular as the last one though.

I dont see why not, besides this year looks promissing with MK, DK, and SSB.

Will they have a January Direct? Of course! Will it be super amazing? In terms of new announcements, I'm a bit skeptical. They still have Yarn Yoshi, X, Bayo 2, SMTxFE, and so ons that hasn't been shown in ages. Plus we know they're gonna spend time talking about DKCTF some more since it'll be one of their last opportunitys to do so. There's also Yoshi's NI, Kirby TD, Mario Golf, Bravely Default, and other 3DS stuff to go over. But if they do announce another new game, I'd hope it's a 3DS game since it's 2014 line-up atm isn't too amazing.

Probably. I think Nintendo realizes they need a big focused announcement between E3s. Probably between the 15th and the 20th as is their pattern.

Some stuff about Wii Fit U and DKCR but hopefully not too much. Maybe a bundle for Wii Fit U. More Mario Kart footage and a release date. New Smash character and release window. Update on X and Bayonetta, but not too much. Then hopefully some big announcements. Miyamoto's new IP? Wii Kirby? Metroid?
