Last year there was an awesome Nintendo Direct on January where they revealed a lot of exciting games like Monolith Soft's "X", we all remember it as the best Nintendo Direct ever done. Do you think Nintendo will do another awesome one this year?

Why would they not?
I think it would be an awesome AWESOME direct if they showed gameplay footage of Monolith's X. That game has been my most anticipated for an ENTIRE YEAR. Also, if they showed a lot more footage of Bayonetta 2 would be really good, as well as a smash bros, mario kart 8, and bayonetta 2 release date. Also, it would be really cool to hear more about Fast Racing Neo, maybe see some gameplay footage, a trailer, ANYTHING. Some new details on Hyrule Warriors, though that will probably be in a later direct, not one so soon since they announced it. announcing Tvii for europe would be good, as well as updating it so its actually a competitive software to Sony and Microsofts media dominance. Over all thought, all i want is some X gameplay footage. That will make me soooo happy. ANd maybe some third party like Watch dogs on Wii u. Im curious to see how they will use the gamepad. Their is so much potential for that game and the gamepad, they better not just stick a map on the gamepad or i'll be pissed. Over all though, I'm excited for this direct. They better not let us down.
I was going to make a thread on this, but I hope so. I hope that Direct wasn't a once in a lifetime Direct.

If they do one, I hope they give the name of Monolith Soft's game and reveal the characters. I also want to know if it'll be related to Xenoblade Chronicles.
And they have not given more information about that crossover of Fire Emblem with Shin Megami Tensei that was announced almost 1 year ago :o
January Direct has a lot they can show. DKCTF is the main game to advertise from it as its possibly the last we here of it prior to release. More on Bayo2 and a possible release period would be welcomed. Anything at all on X would be good to see now. Completely ignore MK8 unless it comes out before May. Smash Bros can also be a no show. If they finally have something to show on SMTxFE that would be welcomed and Yarn Yoshi. For 3DS Yoshi should be there as well as Mario Party for EU and Bravely Default for NA. New info on Mario Golf and a release window could be shown. I doubt they would have anything new for Hyrule Warriors so to wrap things off for WiiU show some 3rd Party stuff like Lego, Watch Dogs etc.
What's so interesting about that Wii U Direct last January is that if you watch it again...they didn't even show that much. They mentioned that 3D Mario and Mario Kart and Smash Bros were coming and would be shown at E3. They showed 20 seconds of Yarn Yoshi, a "teaser trailer" which was basically just a title for SMT X FE, they showed stills from WWHD and talked about the next Zelda, and then they showed the first "X" trailer. And yet, I STILL enjoy watching it...because it was HOW they structured it that made it great. They talked about stuff coming further in the future...not really wasting time on games that were coming out in the next month or two that already had plenty of footage/trailers out. And they started out slow...stuff about the update, Virtual Console, the "expected" Mario announcements...then they started building... a mention of Smash Bros., teases for Bayonetta 2 and W101, the Yarn Yoshi and SMT X FE announcements. And then they made you think they were ending strong with talk of the 2 Wii U Zelda games...which as a Zelda fanboy, I can tell you that ANY news is ALWAYS a big deal. And then, finally, they surprised everyone with the reveal and first trailer of "X." So honestly, I just think it goes to show that the way a Direct is structured is just as important as the actual content of the Direct. Kind of like their last E3 when they started with Pikmin 3 and ended with Nintendo Land. That was a huge letdown and could have been a "decent" press conference had it been ordered correctly.
But to the OP, I HOPE HOPE HOPE they do. It's been 6 months since E3 and we're still 6 months away from the next...the half-way point, so it'd be FANTASTIC if they'd make each January kind of like a "2nd E3" in terms of new announcements, updates on projects that won't be releasing in the next couple months, etc. Here's hoping! :D
Upcoming Games To Get
Definite: Kirby Star Allies (Switch), Mario Tennis Aces (Switch), Fire Emblem (Switch), Yoshi (Switch), Pokemon (Switch), Kingdom Hearts 3 (PS4), Monster Hunter World (PS4)
Considering: Fe (Switch), Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze (Switch), The World Ends With You (Switch), Ys VIII (Switch), Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition (PS4), Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Remix (PS4), The Last Guardian (PS4), Shadow of the Colossus HD (PS4), Anthem (PS4), Shenmue 3 (PS4), WiLD (PS4)
I believe there will be a major Nintendo Direct this month. However, I do not believe it will be a mini-E3 presentation with multiple bombshells like the one last January.
