Forums - Sony - How Much Do You Think PS4's Sales Will Drop?

How much?

100k weekly 61 24.21%

50k weekly 33 13.10%

Wii U level (20k weekly) 29 11.51%

PS4 level 66 26.19%

1 billion! 12 4.76%

Wii U is doomed 30 11.90%

PS4 is doomed 21 8.33%

Total:252

I can't confine my answer to just the pre-designed answers in the poll. It's not that simple.

With XBONE it should drop off to worse levels than the Wii U world wide. It's a really simple calculation to perform. Happens to every console. PS4 however still is having supply issues. It's not going to have the traditional post-holiday drop off until that's resolved. Doing around 100-200k weekly to stores makes sense since Jan. will have less shipman's than Dec. It's way too early however to know if the demand will be similar or not. I'd guess 500k for the month of Jan.

it'll drop, when they solve there supply issues.

150k

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

People do realise that 50k a week is what the ps3 was doing in 2007 when everyone hated it and said it was doomed. The wii had a worse launch than the ps4 and never went below 200k in 2007. A week ortwo being an exception.

I would also like to point outthat for most weeks the wii was around the 250k mark.

Thought i would post this to give you perspective.

That depends. What are PS4's notable upcoming exclusives in the near future? Personally I don't know of any. Nor do I know of any notable Xbox One exclusives.

So with my current knowledge I'd say that the system will drop to about 50k weekly (with Xbox one selling around 60-70% of that until the non-exclusive Titanfall releases and makes it even for some time), considering that third party offerings will be available on last gen consoles.

What were the notable exclusive launch titles?  We've learned that exclusives are not necessary for a console to succeed.

It's like Nintendo fans have been confused by the wii U and Think a console doing sub 50k on a weekly basis is the new standard

Yh i know. Its crazy to be honest. I will give the newer users a bit of slack but anyone who has been here for a decent amount of time has no excuse. If the ps4 goes anywhere near 50k this year i will declare a gaming crash.

I made a thread not to long ago about how nintendo fans think all consoles will do poorly if nintendo is not leading the industry.

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

No, we have learned that during the holidays people are willing to spend extra money for better graphics and invest in new hardware.

PS4 will never drop. PS4 is the savior of economy!

now I think it will drop to 70~80k WW.

edit: per week of course
