I can't possibly imagine either the PS4 or Xone dropping to 20k weekly, but I don't see it sustaining 100k in January without Japan either.

I'm guessing it be around 50-60k until the Japan launch, then there'll be 1-2 weeks of launch hype and it'll go back down to 60-65k until Infamous.

They will drop a bit in US and almost nothing in the rest of the world. Really hard to tell if demand isn't met.

That depends. What are PS4's notable upcoming exclusives in the near future? Personally I don't know of any. Nor do I know of any notable Xbox One exclusives.


So with my current knowledge I'd say that the system will drop to about 50k weekly (with Xbox one selling around 60-70% of that until the non-exclusive Titanfall releases and makes it even for some time), considering that third party offerings will be available on last gen consoles.

I'll say 140K a week once it releases in Japan.

Just in January? It will probably keep selling over 100k, at least until demand is met, then it will drop down to... I don't really know, I've only recently started paying attention to sales numbers, I don't know what the historical precedent for such a situation is.
