Here's the thing, and im going to sound callous as hell but here goes. I kinda dont care. The Wii U is getting attention. But i dont have a Wii U and i dont have stock in ninty so in the grand scheme of things, it doesnt really affect me that much, at least for now. But I do have a 3DS and i very much care what games come to that, and a portable version of a series i happen to like for the first time ever? yeah sign me up. I'll let Ninty worry about the WIi U situation.

EDIT: i get where people are coming from, but what annoys me about Curl's comments, is the selfishness. He doesnt want 3DS gamers to get a good game because he thinks it will hurt his precious Wii U? Get the hell out of here with that crap. Buy the game on WIi U and stop the nonsense. I will buy it on 3DS and maybe Wii U later. The sad thing is its selfish for no reason, his life is not effected no matter how "well" Wii U does

You guys are underestimating how popular Smash Bros is. Brawl sold about 12 million and is the highest selling fighting game of all time. I have little doubt that Nintendo can do 2 versions and both will sell atleast 7 - 8 million. Whats dumber is Microsoft putting Titanfall on the Xbox 360. Both are home consoles. In this case we are talking about one home console version and one portable. Could it backfire? Sure, but we are talking the GTA/COD of fighting games here, not some mid-level new IP or something like that.

Losing a share in such a lucrative market it absoluely not worth it.

Post-2010 Nintendo have proven time and again that they cannot run the company properly, so I'm not optimistic about letting them worry about it.

it only sold that much because alot of people had Wiis, even before Smash released. Put it this way, we werent having conversations about if Smash could save Wii. Wii u on the other hand? not so much, it will sell in proportion to how well Wii U sells. IMHO i dont see Smash pushing that much Wii Us. Especially cause their is a 3ds version and people might just stick to that.

I don't get why people argues about SSB4 being on 3DS. Wii U will still sell, whether it's on 3DS or not it's still a great addition to it's catalogue and will help their sales. It's not like SSB4 it's gonna sell only 20.000 units because everyone can get it on 3DS. Besides, local multiplayer can be fun as hell in this game and high definition will make it much more attractive than 3DS version. Besides, it's a good thing they didn't make a 3DS alone version and then the Wii U version. What makes SSB so special is the "one-game-per-gen" thingy.

Again i dont see how this wounds you so much. It really doesnt affect you, worst case we get GC numbers and you know what? that system still had a good library of games in the end, better than the more popular Wii but thats just IMHO

So happy I bought a 3ds on black friday, I am in no way paying $300 for a wii U. Nothing better than smash on the go, obviously the superior version will be on the 3ds too, and I am sure nintendo will make sure of it :)

Also only nintendo fans( wii u fans to be exact) will complain about this game being on the 3ds LMAO.
