Why would you feel bad for me? I won't feel bad for you when you get modded, go check the rules of this site and abide by them
I would say the price cut. The 3DS was having weak sales in the beginning, but they picked up after the price cut.
I imagine that the majority of the people who own a WiiU are already looking forward to MK7 and Smash. SM3DWorld has solid sales, but it didn't really increase WiiU numbers. So I expect something similar when those games releases. Also, Smash is coming out on the 3DS which will eat up some of WiiU's interests.

No less sadder than being kicked off the site multiple times (clearly not wanted) yet coming back. Go away Degrue and get the point, you're not allowed here!

Yea, the One should definitely beat the first Xbox, unless 2014 turns out to be god awful. I don't expect it to be, but I think it will do worse in every region, compared to the 360, when all sales are in. Probably ~1M in Japan, if they are lucky. Given the numbers we do have for EU, it doesn't seem that the One is going to be a hit there. I'm guessing it will do half of what the 360 did, so ~15M. It should do the best in NA, so ~40M.
Of course, those numbers are if MS drops the Kinect and lowers the price to compete with the PS4 next year, like I expect them to. Otherwise, numbers are going to look worse.
Edit: Whoops, forgot @ OP
2014 is the final year to turn things around. If the Wii U doesn't improve incredibly this year, with all the things Nintendo throws at it (probable $50 price cut, MK, SB), then its fate is sealed. Same thing goes for the Vita, as well. Though, I think Sony is actually making some profit off of the Vita, while Nintendo is losing money on the Wii U.

I dont think most people were saying those were all big guns but if most werent delayed than it could have given Wii U a consistant and solid exclusive release schedule, its possible Wii U could have had one exclusive per month in 2013.
Jan-Wii Fit U
Feb-Rayman Legends
Mar-Lego City Undercover
April-Pikmin 3
May-Wondeful 101
June-Game & Wario
July-New Super Luigi U
Aug-Wii Party U
Sep-Wind Waker HD
Oct-Sonic Lost World
Nov-Super Mario 3D World
Dec-Mario & Sonic Olympics
I admit thats not the greatest line up but it would have given at least some momentum throughout the year and its likely Nintendo would have actually advertised it since there were exclusive games coming every month. Instead it had 2 exclusives in the first 6 months of the year with zero advertising and the release schedule/advertising didnt pick up until the last few months of the year.

big guns might have been the wrong choice of words, but people were saying that they were going to help the WIi U, it didnt.
