Yes, I am really lookin forward to that as well. Chadwick really surprised me in 42. Very good find and I think he will have an excellent career.

Plus the film is made by Universal they have a good track record with musical bio pics since its the studio that made Ray which is one of my favorite bio pics of all time.

Good times ahead for year mate. Some very good films here. Captain Phillips was really enjoyable as Hollywood fiction but as a historically accurate document it has been reported time and time again that it is far from the truth. This New York Post article spoke on it first then the flood gates opened and it really soured my view of then film. Turns out Phillips wasn't heroic at all.

Well The Butler was highly fictionalized also turns out the main character was actually born in Virginia and never worked at a cotton plantation as a kid.   Also he only had one son that died before him of renal failure so the son that was killed in Vietnam is completely fictional and the other one is probably mostly fictional.  Fruitvale Station on the other hand is pretty historical acurate as far as I know they only added the dying dog to add some more drama to the film and probably to add some more run time as the film is pretty short as it barely goes 80 minutes.

Absolutely, the only difference is The Butler was public about the liberties they were taking with the story during production. They changed the lead characters name. It was loosely based on the real guys life.  Captain Phillips is being touted as truth. And there lies the rub.

I guess The Butler would have been a very boring movie if it wasn't highly fictionalized its still one of Forest Whitakers best performances.
