Nice sales! When it comes to Mighty Switch Force and Mutant Mudds, do you guys recommend the 3DS or Wii U versions?

The versions are basically the same, so it comes down to whether you prefer playing at home on a bigger screen or on-the-go on your 3DS.

At the moment, Mutant Mudds has more content in the Wii U version, but the developer has confirmed that the extra content will be coming to the 3DS version as a free add-on within the next few months. Some people say the game is easier with the 3D turned on, but I played most of it with the 3D off and didn't notice any difference in my ability to perceive depth when I played with it on.

I'm pretty sure Mighty Switch Force is virtually identical on both platforms in terms of content. The only difference is the spruced-up graphics.

Nightsky is great if you want something deviously challenging but also chill and atmospheric.

Currently playing:

Bloodbath Paddy Wagon Ultra 9

Should be getting my Limited edition Zelda 3DS tomorrow.

Are these games in the poll the best downloads? or is there some must haves that i should be aware of?

Hoping i can bag that free mario 3d land game, when i register zelda, i hope bundle games count towards that offer.

In a sense, the games in the poll are among the most niche downloads. Stuff like Mutant Mudds (platformer), Gunman Clive (platformer), HarmoKnight (rhythm), Pushmo/Pullblox (puzzle), and Cave Story (platform-adventure) are "safer" bets. It depends on what you're into.

Many of these sales will be over by tomorrow, though.

Gunman Clive is pretty good and i personally recommend lets golf 3D, ive put hours into that game.

Shinobi III, if you don't mind old games and are curious about what made Sega great aside Sonic.

I don't mind old games at all, but Shinobi III isn't on sale right now and costs $5.99 -- I don't have enough funds for it.

Still, it looks good. I'll check it out again next time I'm in a spending mood.

The only one of those games I've even heard of is Mighty Switch Force 2 (which I also own) and VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV. Are the rest good?

Ikachan is decent, but criminally short (1.5 hours, no replay value).

Crimson Shroud was a good tabletop RPG simulator (seriously, you literally roll dice for most actions, and characters are represented by tabletop figurines). It's likely the meatiest of the bunch, with some actual replay value (rare for an RPG). $5 is a good price for it. Unfortunately, it has a really stupid oversight in Chapter 2, where you must defeat a certain monster group to get a certain item to proceed: problem is, the (REQUIRED) item has a percentage drop, so you might spend a ton of time fighting the same battle over and over again waiting for the drop to trigger. I once spent over an hour this way. It's terrible game design at its worst, especially since there's no indication you're doing anything wrong (likely because you're not). The optional boss battle (replay only) is also a dragged out affair, in JRPG fashion. Those two complaints aside, it's a good, small RPG.

Damrey is a disappointment. It's a slow-paced adventure game (like Myst), but it's not interesting or tense, and the mechanics are pretty cumbersome.

Can't speak to the rest, but by reputation Attack of the Friday Monsters is the most divisive: some think it's a charming, Studio Ghibli-esque adventure game, while others...not so much.

Hmm, it's 4.99€ in Europe but they aren't doing 1€=1$. I'm surprised.
