So I came into this game not expecting much.  I've platinumed the previous two and every bit of news for this game had gotten me less excited.  First it was Batman and Joker's iconic voice actors being replaced, then it wasn't made by Rocksteady, then it was a prequel, then it had a MP mode.  I waited till I could get it for $30 because of all this negativity but...this game is FANTASTIC!

I really do think it's the best of all 3 Arkham games so far.  The side missions have been fun, the riddler puzzles are good, the combat is top notch and adds some fun new enemies to the mix, the new gadgets are cool, and the new challenges are a great addition.  I like the fast travel and the map is better than AC by far without the large chunk in the middle that you always had to go around.  

Joker's voice actor is FANTASTIC.  He's great in his own way.  He clearly apes off Hamil but he sure does put his own little nuances in it to bring out the young Joker.  Now Batman's voice actor is TERRIBLE.  That is honestly my biggest complaint so far.  I mean he tries to sound angry and I just don't believe it.

The boss fights are a BIG improvement.  Other than Mr. Freeze I really didn't enjoy the previous Arkham boss fights too much, but MAN deathstroke and the first Bane fight (the only one I've gotten to yet) have been AWESOME.  They're so intense and I can't wait to play through on challenge mode to really let them get me on the edge of my seat.

Overal I can't wait to finish this game (family using the TV) but I can't help but admire what WB Game Studios has done.  They took a game I was prepared to hate and turned it into a game even BETTER than its predecessors which were two of my favorite games this gen.  That whole sequence with the Joker in the hotel was orgasmic from the voices to the scenarios to the environments everything was just SPOT ON.

One of the laggiest games ive ever played I can tell you that.
Its hard for me to enjoy because of it.

I didn't expect much from it and the initial part of the game didn't grab me like the spectacular openings in Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. This one started off a little too fast paced and yet still kinda boring. I felt like I was going through the motions.

Then, the Joker showed up and suddenly, we were looking at a Game of the Year contender! This game had one of the best representations of the Joker, EVER and there were a ton of incredible moments. It had me hooked until the end. I pre-ordered the Wii U version and now I have the (superior) PS3 game.


Fun fact: Aside from Blackgate, I've purchase every entry in the series at least twice. I got Arkham Asylum on PS3, and twice on 360 (GotY version and standard version). I got Arkham City on 360 and Wii U. I got Arham Origins on Wii U and PS3. I love me some Batman!

Which console and when was the last time you played it?  I got the Wii U version and it was sooooooo slow.  They did an update recently and it seems a little smoother than I remember.

I've yet to beat any of the games. I got about 4 hours into asylum only to find out my save data had been erased. This one looked like a good edition to the series but I'm too pissed to have any interest at this point lol

I really enjoyed Arkham Origins. I thought it was better than Arkham City. I bought the season pass but have yet to play any of the DLC.

I have the Wii U version and is a good game, but not great.

The best additions are the boss fights and the flow of the events seem fine, the biggest problems are the navigation of the city which I don't know why its worst that in the previous game, another problem is the lack of integration of the gamepad, on Arkham City was very good, and this is the same development team but they did not use it.

The voice actors are good, I like them.

I am sure it is solid game but during its release weak it was barely playable. Friend got this for 360 and he kept getting booted to the main menu. The people who pay the most during launch, end up getting the worst experience with most games these days.
