Forums - Nintendo - Wii U got more hardware sells than Xbox One weekly (current)

TBH I agree I can see it outselling X1 in the long run, that price MS has chosen isn't going to help things in 2014.

The day will come and Wii U will outsell PS4 too. Remember my words...

Zelda - Breath of the Wild for Nintendo Switch.... Incredable!!!

Who are these "sells" again? I mean seriously, they pop up everywhere.

As for the weekly sales, I'm sure xbone suffering from shortages in some places explains the numbers. Good for Ninty though.

we already got a thread about this. either way, the only reason it did happen is because of Japan, which WiiU has been performing well there since Mario. either way, the number is nothing to brag about, after looking at the PS4 sales.

The $499 price point will hurt them for some time.

I'm telling you, there is a GOOD chance the Wii U outsells the Xbone. And to those who say I'm jumping the gun, I've made this claim LONG before the Xbone even came out. People tend to just lump the Xbone and PS4 together and think that since PS4 will (likely) smoke the Wii U in sales, Xbone will do the same (I guess since they're so damn similar anyway). Just because they're similar, doesn't mean they will share the same fate. I think Xbone has a good chance to end up at least a few million behind the Wii U in sales. Think about it..

- Nintendo currently owns Japan, a place where MS is conversely, almost a non entity in.
- Nintendo is also more popular in non-UK Europe for the most part than MS.
- They have a huge price advantage, as well a huge advantage in quality library thus far.
- They are far more vulnerable to getting their sales cannibalized by Sony than Nintendo, as they are very similar.
- Nintendo has many highly regarded franchises to push hardware, while MS has a bunch of third parties, and Halo and Gears..

WiiStation 4 U is the new Xbox Wii60.

Bad argument. We could say the Xbone is only close to the Wii U thanks to US popularity, too. If Xbone released in Japan, it would do poor like the 360 did. Either way it's fair, because Microsoft and Nintendo both perform better in some areas than others.
