This seems much more likely now with the 3DS tracking to do 80m at best, and the WiiU lucky to hit 20m. The PS4 could do 100m lifetime.

Holy shit. I'd be surprised if the Wii U sells more than 12 million. There is no reason to think the Wii U will sell more than the Gamecube or even on par with it. And I'd be also shocked (though in a good way) if the 3DS sells more than 100 million.

I predicted 120 million for PS4 minimum for its lifetime.

Wii U will see some major sale spikes with MK8, SSB4, and Zelda HD, so I think 25-30 million isn't out of the question, if not probable.

Yes it will. You underestimate how long Sony consoles sell. It could take another 4 years but it'll reach 100m and surpass the Wii.

Judging from previous major releases of said titles on previous consoles, sales will defintely spike. 7 million with no major games currently, and it's only 2 years old. Give it some time.

It's certainly less crazy than the 'wii u will beat ps4/xb1 by 40 mil' prediction, why it's downright plausible. It's going to come down to what nintendo does with the 3ds from here on out.

6 million actually. And it has had both a 2D and 3D Mario. 

2D Mario isn't really a major seller, and 3D World won't even come close to the selling power of SSB4 or Zelda. And you're right about the sales figure, I was thinking about the PS4 for some reason XD

I think it's possible if the PS4 has long legs like the PS2 and ends up passing 120m, even with 110m it might be possible.
